I am not equating "crime" and "license revocation." I don't think you understand what is going on here.

    to which you replied

Prove it. Lets see the numbers.
The numbers I gave you involve ALL those legally allowed carry a firearm into public in Florida. That is LAWFUL carry. Of THAT group only .001% have ACTUALLY committed a crime with a firearm. 10% of those who had a license REVOKED have actually had it reinstated. You can't get away from those numbers man. That is unequivical PROOF that LAWFUL CARRIERS are overwhelmingly NOT the group committing crimes.

I did a quick google search and found this random info about SC. I assume its representative of most areas:
    ROBBERY

So there were 6000 robberies in the state - HALF using firearms. only about 2000 were 'cleared' - meaning an arrest was made. Thats less than a third.
How many of these people are LAWFUL carriers of firearms? As I demonstrated ABOVE...FEW. 168 in the state of Florida had permission to carry a firearm in public...and used that firearm to commit a crime. I PROVED to you that few LAW ABIDING citizens commit crimes with guns.

But I'm sure its still a small number... because guys who get CC permits are following the law. People who dont obey the law and commit gun crimes dont tend to bother with permits.
So why would you wish to RESTRICT the law abiding citizens if you are admitting here that people who already break laws, would not care about more laws. It seems you have stumbled upon the paradox that defeats the policy of "gun control as crime control." Maybe you will understand why the problem ISN'T with guns? IT is with people.

But thats still totally irrelevant to my point, which is that tens of thousands of people die by firearms each year in the US. And many people just think thats the cost of the freedom they enjoy to own their toys/security blankets. I think its a crappy trade off.
Tens of thousands commit suicide. Others die by ACCIDENT. If you want to talk about gun DEATHS...that is a dishonest discussion that seeks to blame an object for killing someone:

As the video demonstrates...a gun isn't the problem. If that were the case...well we would have politicians going after the manufacturers for making AI death machines like Terminator wouldn't we? But skynet isn't online yet, and guns still require an opperator to pull the trigger. So maybe if you want to do something about people dying...you might actually try to find out the root cause and treat that?

LOL!!!! I live in Florida man. It doesn't get much hotter here. And yet I carry every day. Either a subcompact XD (glock size) or an LCP. Nobody knows when I carry. Unless they know me. How many people know that a gun is printing or a cell phone in a holster is printing? Hell how many know it is a cell phone or a gun in my pocket?

Who knows it's in Florida, right? Maybe, he can get off by saying the texting threatened him.

No. We are pretty good at handing out convictions. Just cause you didn't like the result of one trial doesn't mean the whole state is corrupt .

Yeah, we'll just assume Japanese society is the same as the West - no socially accepted suicides.
