Yes it is, the dean made the decision, it was refused by other staff.

It is founded on hate speech laws. Christopher Hitchens specifically talked about this in Canada, in 2006. These laws open up to everyone being at the will of the protected group. So Hitchens argues how that turns into the group saying, "you put your hand on our bible or else we'll call the hate speech police."

You don't make any bloody sense, you know nothing about our laws and you are completely off-topic.

I am referencing Hitchens, so you think he doesn't make any sense.

He knows nothing about our hate-speech laws nor how they work.

Clearly, given that his prediction came true.

    And your point is?
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he stops voting for the Free Fish party.

    1. The student requested the accommodation, the professor declined, and the student accepted that decision - all done in a highly professional manner.

    2. The professor informed the "politically correct department" at the university and the legal and human rights toadies decided that Canadian law required that the student be accommodated. The professor refused. The student did not appeal the decision of the professor, he was not at fault - the PC clowns decided they needed to flex their muscles and so intervened on the part of a student that didn't ask for their intervention.

    3. To my knowledge, the professor has not given in, but perhaps there's new information I've missed.

    4. As the professor says, he has a daughter and he would not want her to attend any university where she may be segregated from the learning environment/structure simply because of antiquated, sexist, religious nonsense.
    Thanks for the clarification, John.

Personally I think the PC department personnel involved need to be fired and publicly ridiculed for being ignorant, discriminating asses. There's no place in higher education for ignorance much less people who support discrimination...IMHO.

The "intolerance for the intolerant" speech that swirls around these debates should be refined and militarized in preparation for the oncoming robot apocalypse. It will be our greatest weapon.
