I did not say it has everything to do about demographics; but it is a vital component of labor force dynamics.
It is not very unreasonable that the rich should contribute to the public expense, not only in proportion to their revenue, but something more than in that proportion.

Pointing out from your own graph that the trend began in 1990 is hardly deflection. You didn't even try to hide that. You have no argument. This problem transcends parties.

Of course we can keep it up. Heck...in a few short years when people are no longer working and no longer eligible for benefits, they wont 'count' anywhere and our unemployment figures will drop to zero. And that looks goooooooood.

Don't lose sight of the progression of technology in the workplace. Robotics is progressively making it harder for companies to hire labor when a machine can do it for nothing and never get sick or complain. Technology is impacting white collar workers as well. As our population grows and technology grows even faster there is going to be a breaking point and it will be ugly.

I've always felt that politics is humanity at its worst. But that may be harsh. The reality is that it is partisanship that is humanity at its worst. Partisanship is only about power.

I don't attack my constituents. Bob is my constituent now.
This is the important stuff. We canít get lost in discrimination. We canít get lost in B.S. We canít get lost tearing each other down. I want to make a point here that no matter what you look like, where you come from, how you worship, who you love, how you identify, and yeah, how you run, that if you have good public policy ideas, if you are well qualified for office, bring those ideas to the table, because this is your America, too. This is our commonwealth of Virginia, too.

I'd like to see a truly independent body do a study, and publish the real figures.
