So you think the same about Christie as you do about Obama? Somehow, I don't believe that.

Yes, Christie knew Nut-tin! Nuttin! and, you know...he fired those responsible immediately - IMMEDIATELY!

Strange he would show such a lack of curiosity in getting to the bottom of it, innit?

I'm trying to figure out why he would want to call off the dogs as he did...

Chris Christie Complained to Andrew Cuomo That His Appointee Was Pressing Too Hard for Answers

    Dec. 12, 2013 9:58 p.m. ET <----

"Mr. Christie, a Republican, complained in a private phone call to Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat, that Patrick Foye, the executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, was pressing too hard to get to the bottom of why the number of toll lanes onto the bridge from Fort Lee, N.J. was cut from three to one in early September, according to this person."

Maybe not in Washington, but I was referring to this board, as Chuckles was. Here in this thread, the cons are desperately trying to make the thread about Obama, because God forbid anyone pay attention to what an (R) does. "It's the media's fault" "But...but...Obamacare!" "Fast and Furious!"

    It's all relative.
Let's say they're both lying ... who's the bigger liar telling the bigger lies?

If we're talking about suit size, Christie is definitely bigger.

    True dat.
Given that observation then, suit size is in inverse proportion to lie size.
(have we embarked down the wrong reason path here)

We'll see what the truth really is when it comes out. IF it does.

For now, it would seem that Christie himself was not personally involved, and he has fired the aide responsible. I can accept that, and in some ways I respect him a lot more for it.

Well it's about contrasting Christie with what has happened that is similar - and the things that has happened which were similar occurred in the WH. It's also about obvious partisanship and hypocrisy. If someone foams at the mouth about Christie they should be equally foamy about Obama but we all know that's not happening. Therefore, it's very easy to dismiss the "noise" by Democrats simply by saying "IRS" and "Lois Lerner". The other point is something people do when say a very outspoken TV Evangelist is found having say gay sex with a prostitute... everyone piles on taking jabs at the obvious hypocrisy of them, staining all with a broad brush, laughing and having a good old time and rightly so. That evangelist set himself up as something he was not, fell, and now is forever labeled as a fake, fraud and charlatan. Obama claimed transparency, claimed hundreds of wonderful things in 2007 and 2008 in that on/off minister voice he uses during speeches and reality shows he's the direct opposite. The difference is no dog pile - defenders continue to defend the most closed and non-transparent WH we've seen in recent history. Christie by contrast has been open, outspoken and transparent and has lived up to it. Every leaders has issues and crisis of some magnitude, it's the test of one's character to see how they handle it and if they survive it. A comparison between Christie and Obama is stark and obvious. If no further evidence damns Christie he will come out of this better than going in. I only hope Obama was taking notes during the press conference yesterday.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
