Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109:573]

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

Looks like that's correct ... he was something called director of Interstate Capital Projects at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Was the job title really invented just for him ... possibly.
But given what the guy was known for ... even according to his one-time employee Brian Murphy ... and after Christie's suspicions about PONY waste ... having someone like that watching the PONY from the inside wasn't a bad idea.

And yet, Christie is now citing his past as if he thinks it reflects poorly on Wildstein. Christie is acting as if he just learned that wildstein has a murky past

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

The DNC is releasing this Superbowl ad today.

Lane closures on a New Jersey Bridge are important but four dead in Benghazi aren't? Is it possible to trivialize the left wing of the American left any further?

This is like a parody of the leftist electorate and their constant determination to avoid any serious issues..

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

Oh christ on a cracker. Get over the Benghazi fetish already.

Whoooosh!

The point is that bridge traffic was slowed for a while and blew up into an advertisement during the Super Bowl, but Benghazi, where an US Ambassador and three other Americans died is a verboten topic. Or a "fetish."

Leftists just don't understand the failures and irony behind being a leftist. This is where an inability to prioritize issues always leads. Food stamps as well.

Chris Christie aide resigns after receiving subpoena in Bridgegate scandal* - NY Daily News

One of Gov. Chris Christie’s top aides has quit her job after being subpoenaed in the George Washington Bridge lane-closure scandal.
Christina Genovese Renna, director of departmental relations in the governor's office, reportedly resigned from her state government role on Friday.

Her lawyer Henry Klingeman confirmed the news in a statement to the Associated Press.

Yeah ... guess folks in the Christie Admin know when the boss wants 'em to leave.
Hey ... did you see Obama bob & weave when O'Reilly asked him why Sibelius is still Sec. of H & H.S.

[h=2]Christie Staffer Resigns Amid Probe[/h] "A member of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's administration who has been subpoenaed in an alleged political payback investigation has resigned," the AP reports.

"Christina Genovese Renna left the governor's office Friday, the same day former Christie loyalist David Wildstein claimed to have evidence contradicting the governor's account of a lane closing operation, apparently to create traffic chaos as a political vendetta."

"Renna reported to Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Kelly, who apparently set the lane closings in motion with an email to Wildstein."
===========

Sooooo, she reported to Bridge-ette Kelly - The mother of four Christie threw under the bus and then ran over repeatedly during his 2 hour IdidntKnow&I'mSorryathon press conference.

Christina saw what her boss did and obviously made a smart move. Wonder if she got a peek at CC's juvenile email he released this weekend before she left.

Bridge-ette Oh....Bridgeeeet....we're waiting to hear from you.

Gheeze, you're like a chick with a soap opera....How predictable was Wildstein's, or Kelly's innuendo filled attempts at retaliation? I don't see a damned thing in Wildclaims latest "revelation" that is proof of anything...Talk about your faux scandal...Let's see:

You have two fired employees that the liberals will believe and run with any slanderous statement, or lack of proof charge they make as though it is gospel.

You have a prosecutor that has already announced that in so many words 'Christie is guilty, and a liar' and is working backwards to fulfill that statement.

And you have a liberal media that is treating this like an ongoing soap opera that they hope to be able to turn into a smear on all republicans.....It is silly, and sad at the same time.

Er, he hasn't shared them yet. Duh. He wants immunity. He's in trouble because there is a crime he could be charged with. He's holding it close to his vest at this point. We'll see if he is granted immunity at some point coming up.

Or maybe they'll offer immunity to Bridget, who is up her eyeballs, and was publicly humiliated before the world. She has no loyalties to CC as she did before. As one writer has put it: David Wildstein can sing but Bridget Kelly knows the song.

Why do you think she would "go rogue?' No one has been able to answer me that. What would her motivation be?
You have two fired employees...
Two fired. Plus three resigned. More to come.

All casualties from the fall-out. Self-induced casualties? Perhaps. The investigation has only just begun.

that the liberals will believe and run with any slanderous statement, or lack of proof charge they make as though it is gospel.
These are all people CC hired or appointed. Are you saying CC is that inept and has such poor judgement he hires a pack of liars and scoundrels? That's the other side of the sword you are trying to swing. Can't have it both ways.

You have a prosecutor that has already announced that in so many words 'Christie is guilty, and a liar' and is working backwards to fulfill that statement.
No, he hasn't, but those emails are pretty damaging. We'll see where the information from the subpoenaed records lead to...They are due today. But they'll likely be delayed and/or stonewalled. We've already seen evidence of that.
And you have a liberal media that is treating this like an ongoing soap opera that they hope to be able to turn into a smear on all republicans.....It is silly, and sad at the same time.
This is an actual scandal with evidence involving what was once the most popular rising political star and potentially the next GOP candidate for President. He was a potential VP pick last election, and he is Chairman of the Republican Governor's Association.

It's too bad you think it should be relegated to soap opera status. Some of us think -- scratch that -- know this is real news involving corruption in the Office of a major player in the political world. There's no getting around that.

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

This thread is pure speculation and therefore should be deleted. There is not one ounce of proof of any kind.

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

lol.

You guys reeeeeallllllly want it to go away, donut you?

For Gov. Chris Christie, R-N.J., things are probably about to get worse before they get better.

Democrats in the New Jersey state legislature were expecting about 20 subpoenas to be returned Monday that could shed light on whether the governor knew that his staff had ordered the closure of several lanes on the George Washington Bridge as an apparent act of retaliation against the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee, N.J.

It was a subpoena from the body that first revealed the damning email that connected Christie’s top aides to the controversial bridge closure, an email from now-former Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Ann Kelly that read, “Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee.”

But some extensions have been granted of the submission deadline, according to The Associated Press.

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

I just reaaaalllly want to see the actual evidence. The "death by a thousand cuts" by the media is now at the "moron boring" stage. If he knew and he lied to us, he should exit and the Lt. Governor should take over. Wish that applied to Presidents as well when they lie - but some apparently can lie continuously, get re-elected and get away with it.

We have had some teflon presidents for sure. At least this time the scandal hit before the election.

Two fired. Plus three resigned. More to come.

As exists in many high power, high profile positions, sometimes you have people around you, trying to make a name for themselves, in doing things they think you'll appreciate, even if you knew nothing about it...IMHO, you libs have a better argument with the "culture" surrounding Christie then you do trying to "frog march" him for a press moment...But it really goes to show you how vindictive liberals are when people don't agree with them lock step.

Two fired. Plus three resigned. More to come.

All casualties from the fall-out. Self-induced casualties? Perhaps. The investigation has only just begun.

Yes, he led...Wish we could say the same for Obama.

These are all people CC hired or appointed. Are you saying CC is that inept and has such poor judgement he hires a pack of liars and scoundrels? That's the other side of the sword you are trying to swing. Can't have it both ways.

No, I am saying that the disgruntled employee is not someone I would call objective, and honest after they got fired. Talk about 'having it both ways', these two were fired for possible criminal acts, and you want Christie so bad that you immediately believe anything they imply without evidence....

No, he hasn't, but those emails are pretty damaging. We'll see where the information from the subpoenaed records lead to...They are due today. But they'll likely be delayed and/or stonewalled. We've already seen evidence of that.

Yes, he did, but I am sure that the only narrative that will be accepted by you is that CC is guilty. If not by actual evidence, then by smear, and innuendo.

This is an actual scandal with evidence involving what was once the most popular rising political star and potentially the next GOP candidate for President. He was a potential VP pick last election, and he is Chairman of the Republican Governor's Association.

No, this was a traffic jam...Or, if you will, a Tuesday on the GW. The only reason you display his resume is because you want to somehow infer that by being a republican, he must be guilty....That's bs, but I understand, you have nothing else.

It's too bad you think it should be relegated to soap opera status. Some of us think -- scratch that -- know this is real news involving corruption in the Office of a major player in the political world. There's no getting around that.

No, it's a soap opera....You want to know what a scandal is....Read up on any of these...

Fast and Furious
IRS
NSA
Benghazi
Unilateral appointment while congress was not in recess
Sidestepping congress on Dream act
Crony capitalism from the Oval office

Take your pick, anyone of those are REAL scandals that are being stonewalled by your President currently, in varying degrees. And the difference is that this corruption is brought to us by progressive liberal demo's in the highest office in the land, not some Governor of a state, that had people causing traffic jams....Give me a break...

Still having to use "probably", huh? Never give up hope that somehow, some way, a the sitting governor deliberately slowed traffic on a New Jersey bridge.

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

From CNN:

Embattled New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's 2-point lead over Hillary Clinton in hypothetical 2016 matchup in December has evaporated, and Clinton holds a 55%-39% lead, according to a new CNN/ORC International poll.

The survey also indicates that Christie has lost his lead over other potential GOP White House contenders in the race for the Republican nomination. The poll's release comes after a month of intense media scrutiny of Christie over a couple of controversies.
This should help cool things off, I mean this was the whole point of make a world crisis out of lane closing.

Nail meet head....Exactly right American, but they won't stop there, Progressives are never satisfied with leaving their opponent standing....They want him either dead, or out of office at the least.

Re: Emails link top Christie aide to GWB lane-closing controversy - [W:77,109]

Sounds like the agreement is that the Democrats are going to run Hillary, and the Republicans now have to come up with someone else to run against her.

Holy crap.

In this nation of 300 billion, there are no better candidates than Hillary and Chris? No one? It looks like we're screwed again.

The only people pushing for Hillary and/or Christie are partisan hacks.

Hillary was "The One" in 2008 and we see how that turned out. Hillary is a doofus and social moron.

So, there still is hope, just as long as no one listens to the partisan hacks.
