    Fair enough.

What was your take on the "IRS scandal"?

You guys always complain about Obama being arrogant and "abusing his executive powers". I would think that you would be equally disgusted with Christie right?
Interesting debate strategy - misery loves company.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Whenever I think of Howard Dean the first thing that pops into my mind is that video of him with that screeching yell. It was just a microphone with the volume up max that brought it up to a siren level but it stuck to him like glue. As trivial as it was I believe that cost him the nomination.

A politician's career is so fragile that can be tossed at the slightest infraction. Another example was Dukasis riding in that tank which was a pathetic photo op.

This abuse of power will stick to Christie for the rest of his political life. Done, the cows are out of the barn.

Now many here are playing the old game when one party member gets caught with his pants down in a sexual tryst they quickly bring out that googled list of the other party's sexual deviants but that isn't going to save Christie. Nice try though.

I don't think that is something the average voter even responds to. Hell, most probably don't even know who those people are.

Pretty good piece here on it that breaks it down a bit:

    Concluding:

And if he did smell a rat and just stopped asking questions so he wouldn’t know, he is in essence part of the cover-up. In any case, the reputation he has built for himself—a man of no-nonsense, let-the-chips-fall-where-they-may action—would have suggested that he’d have wanted to get to the bottom of this himself long before now. That he didn’t and has been doing the usual tawdry dance that politicians do in this circumstance is another incriminating indicator.

He can fire Bridget Kelly and a few other people today, or soon, and try to take charge of this. He can demand an investigation. But the fact that he hasn’t done that already is suspicious. Remember the hurricane-era Christie? My state and my people come first, the hell with the politics. That was laudable. But his posture here has been the direct opposite. Here it’s been politics first. He’s not completely knocked out by this yet. There seems a good chance he will be knocked out by it. But even if he’s not, that old Christie is tarnished forever.
