See, SWAT has the toys.
Problem is, all cops now look like swat, carry swat gear, dress like they are about to invade poland, and generally hold the same mindset as SWAT....jackboot.
Now swat seems to think this is Afghanistan....they forget about that whole constitution thing.
The no-knocks (which recently got two cops killed in TX, and 6 killed in NH), the dog executions, the 'whoops wrong house' that seems to be happening more and more. I'm sorry, but if someone kicks in my door without announcing themselves...to me....I assume home invasion, and I grab my AR and plate carrier sitting on top of it. How it goes from there...well that's not in my hands anymore, but I shoot competitively (3-gun) and it will hell for anyone that is invading my home, I am no push-over joe bob rocking a mossberg 500. The biggest threat we face right now as a country is the depletion of the 4th, 10th, and 2nd amendments. This new mentality indoctrinated in the academy that this is a warzone is a serious issue. They behave like everyone is a potential enemy combatant, not a citizen with rights.
Basically, militarization of the police is a HUGE issue.
