Some people are idiots. The people in the video, many people with that type of mindset, consider themselves "thugs". Then someone else calls it "thuggery" and suddenly it is wrong and racist.

Saw this on the news last night. So the police union here is getting blasted for posting the video on facebook, but what about the people who made the video? Why does the messenger get blamed and not the people actually doing it? They didn't play the audio on the local news but CNN did play some of the video but even there they are questioning the union for posting it:

CNN Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

Now here is the video in question unedited. It's so sad, this poor kid having to be exposed to this and the "adults" laughing.

So does this go to far by the police posting it?
I don't see the problem with exposing reality for what it is.....

The notion that this is abnormal or some sort of segregated incident which is what the media or PC assholes would love everyone to believe but it's hardly abnormal and hardly segregated.

This is the type of **** progressives have created.... If being a "nigga" and acting that way wasn't portrayed by progressives as "cultural and cool" then this video would have never existed in the first place...

I mean it only takes years for a kid to talk like that - that type of behavior was clearly an every day occurrence considering the kid is emulating it.

IMO, that is child neglect right there. That kid is clearly nothing more than a novelty or a zoo animal to those assclowns... Too bad this isn't a crime.

    Bull****.

It is caused by people that don't care enough about their kids to give them a fighting chance.

If you are going to say this is caused by poverty, then all kids living in poverty would be treated this way.

By the way where is your proof these people were poor?

Is it more likely that these people don't care about their child, or that because of the way they were brought up they see nothing wrong with what they are doing?

I said this is caused by gang/thug culture, and that the gang/thug culture is largely perpetuated by the drug war and poverty. That doesn't mean that everybody that partakes in gang/thug culture is impoverished, and it also doesn't mean that all impoverished people partake in gang/thug culture. It means that gang/thug culture is rooted in poverty and the side effects of the drug war.

The video is really sad, and the story of how this child... and probably many others... are being raised is truly disgusting. But the police union put it on their webpage... why? To supposedly show what they have to deal with. I can understand the rationale and their frustration, dealing with children like these all grown up every day, but damn.

They shouldn't have posted it, in my opinion. Regardless of what they were trying to show, what they DID show was, in effect, "You see what 'these people' are like?" Very poor judgment on the part of the police union.

*Update - the baby and three other kids were taken by CPS*

    http://www.ketv.com/news/local-news/...x/-/index.html

After the video received national attention, the Omaha Police Department Child Victim Unit started to investigate and identified the toddler seen in the video and two adults heard in the background.
The video was reviewed with the City of Omaha Prosecutor's Office, which determined no criminal activities had taken place.

The Child Victim Unit and Child Protective Services investigated the well-being of the toddler and other children believed to be in the home. The joint investigation found safety concerns and four children, including the toddler seen in the video, were removed from the home

It doesn't say it but on the news this morning they said the father and uncle both living in the house are known gang members. So sad, I really hope the kids are taken to someone who cares enough to help them overcome everything they've been exposed too. One thing I would really like to do is to be a foster parent and try to help a child like that.

Thats a good point. People with money embrace this whole thug lifestyle and mentality too.

Short of fostering there is a group in most cities called CASA you can volunteer with to be an advocate for kids in these types of situations to help them and their families. Many times you can help the parents better understand the needs of their children, become better parents and keep the families together.
