Yet the government expects us to believe that they would enforce and crack down on illegal immigration if we were to just give all the illegals a pathway to citizenship or some other form of Amnesty in some so called immigration reform.

Is there another country in the world where I could go sneak in, get a job and stand in line for a driving privilege card. After shipping so many jobs off shore through NAFTA/GAT and other trade agreements too, how can one conclude anything but deliberate and systematic destruction of the old order in America. Is this the Twilight Zone, or very real?

They'll be needing these driver's licenses later in order to vote. These are no longer referred to as 'illegal aliens'. but as 'Undocumented Democrats".

Republicans have allowed this to occur in eleven states? Nevada won't be the last one, the fiftieth state will be. Systematic destruction.

Did Republicans pass this same law as well? I just took it for granted that this was a Left thing. Maybe we have a misunderstanding.

Grant, it was signed into law by a republican governor. How much republican support has this had in the other ten states. I didn't want this to become a partisan finger pointing game. This is a very real problem and it doesn't matter what party is in power we are getting destroyed here. As I pointed out earlier, there's no other country in the world that would allow this, NONE! Where do we live anymore, what is this.

It happened in California in October. Look at the support.

The law, passed with substantial Republican support, marks a significant departure from past policy in California, which will join at least nine other states that allow undocumented immigrants to drive legally when the law takes effect in 2015.

Absolutely, there are republican politicians who will roundheels just fall over for the illegal aliens as well as the expected democrat ones. They've given up any principles they may have once held unlike the dems who didn't have any to begin with (in this context). It for the votes, the gold.

The problem is not they get drivers licenses, the problem is they have jobs. If they did not have a job they would go home.

Education. As a result of a 1982 Supreme Court decision, states are required to provide K-12 public education for students without legal immigrant status. New York State is in compliance with this decision. SUNY tuition policy states that undocumented aliens who attend New York high schools for at least 2 years and graduate from them may be eligible for the in-state tuition rate. However, illegal immigrants are ineligible for the tuition assistance program (TAP).

They should not be here to start with. If we are going to let them stay educating their children is very smart. The buisness owners who employ these people should be arrested, that would fix the problem.

Regardless of their status, “not qualified” immigrants remained eligible for emergency Medicaid [13] if they are otherwise eligible for their state’s Medicaid program.[14] The law does not restrict access to public health programs providing immunizations and/or treatment of communicable disease symptoms (whether or not those symptoms are caused by such a disease). School breakfast and lunch programs remain open to all children regardless of immigration status, and every state has opted to provide access to the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC).[15] Short-term noncash emergency disaster assistance remains available without regard to immigration status. Also exempted from the restrictions are other in-kind services necessary to protect life or safety, as long as no individual or household income qualification is required. I wonder if I could illegally sneak across the border into Mexico, find an under the table job despite speaking very little Spanish, and then go down to the local Mexican DMV and get me a Mexican Drivers License?

I completely agree with you on the issue of employers. They should be arrested, and their business and other assets, including homes, etc., forfeited to pay the fines. No excuse for hiring.

However, let me add, as a business owner it is a supreme challenge to fight the wave of illegals and the methods they use to thwart the laws. Most break the law and even commit felonies by duplicating official Federal Documents by obtaining false identifications and other forms of "official" ID.

One thing needed to protect business owners is recognition of E-Verify as a legitimate source to document due diligence when hiring workers. If ICE raids a facility, and it can be shown the employer did their best to verify eligibility, they could not be held in violation.

Ok, all that's true, but secondary to the issue. Our government is allowing people to come into our country illegally and remain, bad enough. But that's not where it stops, I've posted quite a list of federal aid that these people have access to as incentive to stay as well as securing employment and now they have added incentive as one by one our states roll out legal driving privileges for them. The government is who is to blame in this, state and federal. But all we hear is that we can't very well round them all up. Bull****, tell them all there's something free and they'll line up for it, there won't be any rounding up necessary. But neither party has secured our borders and both parties have given them these incentives to come and stay. It is by design.

You're right! I had no idea this was a bi-partisan effort to undermine American Laws and customs. I had incorrectly assumed it would be the Democrats.

If this is the case then who is left to protect the laws of the country? This is very serious indeed!!
