I don’t have time to think about the false controversy,” Rice said. “In the midst of all of swirl about things like talking points, the administration has been working very, very hard across the globe to review our security of our embassies and our facilities. That’s what we ought to be focused on.”

CBS host Lesley Stahl pressed on whether Rice ever wished she hadn’t taken the interviews.
“If you hadn’t taken those interviews, I’d be calling you madam secretary,” Stahl said.

You can call me Susan,” Rice shot back, ending questions on the incident for which the former U.N. ambassador has become most known

arrogant hubris, much like Hilary testimony where she throws up her hands and the famous "what does it matter" line.

They were caught lying, and they just can't admit it, so they dissemble - isn't that correct "Susan"

Yep. Like sending 150 (more) troops to evacuate the US folks from South Sudan. Who would have guessed, in advance, that fledgling nation would have had any security problems? ;)

read the link:
Rice said she had filled in willingly because of the then-secretary of state’s particularly “painful” and “stressful” week
It's like 3 card monte with this crowd.
just listen to me, and forget your lying eyes. hustling up the next prepared excuse

You know, one of the things the scandalmongers never like to talk about is how there really were worldwide protests against the video on that day.

You know, one of the things the scandalmongers never like to talk about is how there really were worldwide protests against the video on that day.

Bengazi was unique. what you mention was a deliberate attempt to conflate other protests, into a terrorist atack in Bengazi.

The US knew the next day, yet chose to go with the"video did it line"
By September 2011, Western counterterrorism officials had become increasingly concerned with the role Islamic radicals were playing in the revolt in Libya, and worried the weapons acquired by them during the war would be used in future terrorist attacks

I'm with Susan. When I'm too busy to even think about something, I find that an appearance on 60 minutes to explain to people that I'm simply to busy for such things can be a HUGE timesaver.

"What difference does it make?"

This issue has become so politicized I just couldn't care less anymore.

You kids have fun with it.

true.
this is the real story on Libya, Hillary Clinton is culpable too.
The GOP senators suggest that Rice, and the Obama administration, deliberately misled the American people in order to spare the administration from charges that it was not effectively battling terrorism.
We don't know what to make of the GOP's charges, but we do know that the GOP is missing a more important Susan Rice story, one that involves a whopper of a made-up false rape claim.
Rice went before a closed door meeting of the United Nations Security Council and announced that Gaddafi's forces were issuing Viagra, the drug used to treat erectile dysfunction, to soldiers "so that they go out and rape" civilians in areas that support the rebels.

Less delicate voices were more blunt: "Rice is a liberal interventionist who was one of those to persuade Obama to intervene in Libya. She utilized this myth because it helped her make the case at the UN that there was no 'moral equivalence' between Gaddafi's human rights abuses and those of the insurgents

Community of the Wrongly Accused: Our UN Ambassador's Shocking False Rape Claim

Susan Rice is a lying warmongering piece of ****. She used the false Viagra Rape story to go to the UN to get authorization for the US to attack and destroy Libya .. and the lying warmongering Obama ran with it.

Rice and Clinton used their positions as women to fuel the lie at the UN. But Rice and Clinton weren't the only ones lying.

Question: Why was Amb. Stevens in Benghazi on 9/11?

Answer: So Hillary Clinton could make a 'Mission Accomplished' march into Benghazi.

Rice, Clinton, and Obama .. all liars and warmongers. They completely destroyed Libya and turned it into a nightmare, especially for its black population.

without a doubt. Libya was a warmongering paradise. There was absolutely no sound reasons, to take a "no-fly" zone,
and turn it into a US led war, for the purpose of regime change.

And of course, like all US misadventures, it's blowback time again, but the one's really screwed are the Libya people.
The country is essentially dysfunctional now. Or as this piece call it "a failed state". I call it creating a terrorist state. Yankee Doodle.
Militia kills many in Tripoli: Dysfunctional Libya and the shadow of anti Syria policies | Modern Tokyo Times
Gulf and Western powers have proved time and again that they can collectively overthrow leaders but after this then enormous vacuums often emerge.
Failing overthrowing the targeted government, then the same forces can cause untold mayhem and misery and this is currently happening in Syria.
Prior to this Afghanistan and Iraq witnessed outside meddling and the end result is two devastating failed states whereby terrorism, putting women in the shadows, religious persecution, sectarianism, narcotics, and other negative factors, continues to haunt both societies.
Therefore, the debacle in Libya is like a re-run despite the issues being different in each failed state.....

America, France, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and other nations, had lauded the “new Libya” after the overthrow of the Gaddafi government.
However, while the usual players bombed the Gaddafi government from the sky, provided assistance on the ground covertly, funded various terrorist and militia groups, sponsored mercenaries, and provided logistics; the end result in modern Libya is a failed state

What difference does what make?

When she was pressed to account for her perpetuation of the obvious lie of a " protest" by the House Committee she screamed " what difference does it make " .

She looked right in the eyes of the parents who's sons died trying to defend the Embassy and said " we're going to arrest and prosecute the man who made that movie ".

I always knew she was scum, but when she did that I knew she was sub-human scum.

And to think there are people that still believe she is Presidential material. She's not even HUMAN material.

So let me get this straight. Susan said they issued Viagra to Gaddafi's forces in order to make them hardened terrorists?
cute.
Qaddafi would not allow AQ to roam, like they do now.

Al-Qaeda considers all the people to be infidels,” Mr. Gaddafi declared in a speech weeks before NATO began its military intervention in Libya. “They deem all people their enemies. They know nothing but killing.”

The Islamists would pour in from Afghanistan, Algeria, and Egypt, he warned, saying, “These are beasts with turbans.”

Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi warned jihadists would conquer Africa | National Post
“The irony is, he was right,” said Christian Leuprecht, Royal Military College and Queen’s University political studies associate professor.
Gaddafi actually said, if you want to destroy [Libya], the result would be the taking over by the jihadists

Qaddafi tortured everyone, even his family's personal servants. Do you really support mass murdering totalitarian dictators?

His O'ness was not going to let a well planned, well executed attack, that happened on his watch, actually be reported as a well planned well executed attack that happened on his watch just before the election. His political standing was in his mind far more valuable than the lives of the brave men lost.

what is with your "this or that" take on events? Every other word is "totalitarian".

Qaddafi was a dictator, he wasn't a nie guy who believed in due process - but looking at him thru western eyes doesn't help judge whether the US led overthrow was a good idea.

One has to look at the choices available. Qaddafi also provided homes , and free eductaion for those -mostly in the cities - and to his supporters.
The oil wealth was in the name of the people of Libya.

What I'm saying is there were 2 choices -we could have worked with him as this pic shows:
obama-gaddafi-handshake-091709-lg.jpg

this from the G-8 meeting where Qaddafi was a member in good standing.

Or we could have done what we did. Not to minimize the prisons, or the alleged tortues ( which i ama sure mostly happened).
But to pick the best course. The world is imperfect. A sound foreign policy recognizes this, and doesn't make decisons by emotional means, or of FUBAR
old one of "human rights"

we need to do what is the best choice, and any fool could have seen assassinatiing Qadafi was a bad idea. Just look at the results.
.

Hey, if you put me in charge and let me kill and torture whomever I want without any judicial system or sense of justice at all, I could wipe out terrorism in the US.

I think it's funny that the same people who cry and moan about the TSA will support mass murdering dictators in the fight against terrorism. What a ****ing joke. Does anyone take that BS seriously? Yeah, we can't take our shoes off to board a plane but those Libyans, well... they should put up with a 40 year dictator. WTF
