Fox News Channel maintained its grip on the cable-news network ratings prize in 2013, drawing more viewers than the combined averages of CNN, MSNBC and HLN.It was a down year in terms of overall audience, as every newsie but HLN showed declines from their Presidential Election-driven tallies of 2012.

According to Nielsen data through Dec. 8, Fox News Channel averaged 1.774 million viewers in primetime (down 13% from 2012) and 297,000 adults 25-54 (down 30%). It was followed by MSNBC with 645,000 viewers and 203,000 adults 25-54 (down 29% in both); CNN with 578,000 (down 15%) and 187,000 adults 25-54 (down 16%); and HLN with 403,000 total viewer (up 21%) and 142,000 in the demo (up 27%).

Not surprising. Fiction usually sells better than nonfiction in America.

The FOX ratings are easy to explain. They are the only news outlet on TV that are not part of the DNC spin machine. It's easy to be number one when you are the only person on the field.

Is that why ABC and CBS do so well? Who'd have thought.

I wasn't aware ABC and CBS were cable news channels. Who'd have thought.

I seem to recall these "informed" conservative voters were completely convinced that Romney had the last election in the bag. They were informed, all right. Informed by FOXNews. LOL!

    I wonder what's worse?

Wrong information or no information? At the end of the day, they all go to the polls not knowing their ass from third base.

We're all living in America! Coca Cola and Mickey Mouse! LOL!
Eh? Fox had him pegged to lose by not energizing the base. You don't watch fox do you?

Absolutely. They don't think. The vote D or R. Very little thought. Just circle and smile.
