China lands Jade Rabbit robot rover on Moon

Nothing to fear from China. They're just a paper tiger.

Ironic Typo in the title.

Rands on the moon/lands on the moon

If they land people there and drive around in a moon buggy, they'll only be a little over 40 years behind the US.

Maybe they'll add something to the knowledgebase for a change, instead of stealing it.

Laugh all you like. Not just any asshole can land something on the moon, forty years behind or not.

The Chinese may have been the first people on this planet to use rockets.

yes, and gunpowder as well.

and the Arabs invented the modern system of counting, as well as algebra.

Lately, however......

What have they done for us lately?

They have loaned the USA a lot of money, lots of which they earned by selling the USA various items now cheaply produced in China which used to be produced in the USA by people who are now unemployed.

Maybe the can use it to take picture of the Apollo Landing sites to shut up the Moon Conspiracy nuts.

In related news, what progress is being made on Obama's plan to turn NASA into a Muslim Outreach organization?

My satellite provider recently added the Chinese Gov. news channel CCTV to our list of free channels...english version of course. What struck me was that, if I hadn't tuned in to one of their newscasts, I wouldn't have even heard of this story! Is there a news blackout here in corporate media? Because, I usually check in on the news every day, and I heard nothing of this story...unless it was on the newscrawl at the bottom of the screen!

Yeah. It's only headline news, the center of Drudge Report, the top line item at CNBC, you name it.

 obviously this is an attempt by the evil capitalist media to hide the Great Achievements Of Father Xi And The Chinese People United by telling people about it :lamo

Ironic Typo in the title.

It made me think of the movie Christmas Story when the family was at the Chinese restaurant and the wait staff sang "Deck the harrs with bows of horry, Fa ra ra ra ... "
