    1) He isn't. He's obviously got some weird bug up his ass about Walmart.
    2) People do all sorts of weird irrational crap all the time.

    FYI

Arizona Man Doesn't Have Lifetime Ban From Walmart for Price-Matching

Cantrell was heard threatening employees with statements "I'm going to mess this mother f_ _ _ker up" while yelling at a cashier, he told employees he didn't care if he got kicked out of the store because he "was going to f_ _ k up, the cashier and he would be waiting outside for him in the parking lot and he was going to do him in."

It's entirely he said/they said at this point. Everybody should withhold further judgment until the footage is released, though my instincts tell me it won't be. I believe that if Walmart could shut the book on this stupid ****storm it would have done so by now.

I guess you could always say it's "he said/they said", but the police reports from multiple incidents of this guy threatening low level walmart employees should be a decent indicator that Cantrell was not banned from walmart for price-matching. I would ban him from my store and/or tell my employees they could have free rein to gang up on him and beat his ass if he threatened my cashiers. I might even hire an enforcer to do just that.

If Walmart makes savings to its customers available through such advertising and PR campaigns and then calls the police merely because customers get good at playing their marketing game, then that's Walmart's problem not the customers who play the game well. Poor ole Cantrell, can no longer do what he likes to do: Beat the stores at their own game.

Here's what I propose since this is after all a politically driven forum: Americans should place a LIFETIME ban on Walmart and its immoral business practices. That way, Walmart can no longer practices its hobby of selling crappy products to American Customers! A
nd, did you notice the embedded link from MSN to Investor Place, showing Walmart being sued for selling crappy gas cans?

The hit parade of insanity, greed, slave labor and customer-hate never seems to end with Walmart.

Any gas can or other fuel container can be dangerous if improperly used.

Right, he "was heard" intimidating employees ("was heard" means nothing). As for the police arresting him, is there a definitive police statement explaining the circumstances under which he was arrested? Because in many cases police will make an arrest simply because of a complaint or because he was on someone else's property. Without a detailed statement or a video all we've got a is big bathtub filled with screw-all.

I believe a company with as much iffy PR as Walmart would move to clear its name as quickly as humanly possible, yet they haven't released the footage to the press. There could be extenuating reasons for why they haven't, but my skepticism is at roughly 9 right now.

Heh, speaking of PR, Cantrell has gone into full-on PR mode himself on his Facebook page. Check out the pic at the top of his home page.

If after looking at their website about ad matching I might get very upset and maybe even threaten the employee to get out of my face if he said it wasn't allowed to ad match.

Who knows if it happened, but what fault does corporate have in this? It sounds like this was an ignorant employee that caused the problem and the store went overboard.

On the other hand with the climate as it is in the US, I am not sure banning the customer was not a good idea.

Where is the video tape of the interaction?

Here's a video tape about this story:

There are other videos on this incident at YouTube.

You could try filing a FOIA request with the police department that handled this incident if you are that interested.

That's up to you, me I'm moving on to other things.
