Obama shakes hands with Cuba's Castro in 'gesture of hope'

I hope Obama doesn't try to bow and shake Mandela's hand.

Oh God I hope they don't let him speak. He will try to make the funeral about himself.

Perhaps, then, one day we will actually normalize relations with Cuba. Of course, Castro will be long gone by then, Communism just a dusty page in a history book, and the cold war long forgotten.
eventually we will stop exporting American exceptionalism;
I would imagine we 're pretty sick of perpetual war by now, but hey - always room for another.

This has been going on long past any useful/rational world reason, as you say Commumisn is already in the "dusty page" of history.

Yet we cling to this, for some odd reason, even as it's shown it's just bad policy

Obama does display weakness.

Syria. Russia. China. He's a chump and the world knows he's not going to do a damn thing.

You expect him to go full-on interventionist or what?

Who knows what the Teleprompter will tell him to say!

Very true. I've quite a list of links to articles in foreign press that say just as much. And an unreliable ally as well. That's like a double whammy negative against him on the world stage.

I expect him to be a strong leader, acting in the US's best interest-why is that too much to ask?

Instead, the worlds B-team lives la vida loca, knowing Obama isn't going to do a damn thing.

I mean that's a nice sound byte but it doesn't really mean anything.

And heres the most ****ed up part-the left thinks its a good thing. This is what they consider good.

The absence of American influence is not utopia, its the influence of Russian, Chinese, and Islamist thugs.

Some of us see the US losing the moral high ground to a Russian thug and Arab dictator as something.

Some of us see the lost respect of the worlds thugs and dictators as something.

But not the left.

I find it funny that you're so against coercion that you don't care if its against foreigners.

You don't even know who "the left" is.

At least he didn't curtsie.. LOL

Tim-

Tell us how little coercion occurs where Russia, Islamists, and China go.

For the record, who is less coercive, the US or those named above?

I don't see why that's relevant to what I said.

So then everyone for the past 150 years.... that's not very specific.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize you wanted a serious answer oh libertarian guru.

Slow learning idealists who cant understand why the world isnt the way they feel it "ought" to be. Fans of cosmic justice. Those who feel the rich are responsible for all of lifes tragedies.

If anything liberalism is idealist.

Also blaming it on rich people is horribly reductionist.
