All the more reason to be more cautious and suspicious. Nothing he ever says can be taken at face value.

Must be, since Obama needed a photo op with Castro.

Its a shame you draw a line at defending totalitarian regimes.
What's amusing is the U.S. won't deal with Cuba, but has no problem dealing with Saudis, China, and other dictators. COMPLETELY hypocritical.

On one hand you complain that people defend totalitarian regimes, yet have no comment on the U.S. doing business with other totalitarian regimes. Seems hypocritical to me.

I'd visit Cuba in a heartbeat. I have Canadian friends who have been there numerous times and love it.

They despise Castro with a white hot rage, and would vote against any candidate who even suggested that normalizing relations with Castro would be even a remote possibility. That candidate would lose Florida, which tends to be a swing state.

Therefore, we don't normalize relations with Cuba.
yes. the old guard in Miami, will never forget Castro seizing property, and the political prisioners.

Florida new Cubans ( born here, ) are typical Hispanic voters, in that they are more concerned with their contemporary life,

Not particularly, not really a fan of cigars. And as I explained, it's not a matter of nice. SA has oil we trade for. And the African nations we do business with all have pretty significant resources we trade for. Cuba has nothing we need and we have plenty of our own resorts.

it's reactive thinking, it's outdated, it's counterproductive, and it's peculiar to Cuba, that we single them out for totalitaian regime.

    Boycott China???? Then why Cuba?
Again, why not. Let Cuba be Cuba. Ignoring them as a policy? There's no good reason to change that.

I disagree with those actions by the US, so I dont support a change in Cuba.
