Maybe this will be the beginning of getting along with one of our closest neighbors. It's way overdue.

That's my opinion© as an American, it has nothing to do with any political party.
I think things could have been cool if they hadn't pointed missiles at us. That is a slight breach of etiquette.

Well, that's my point. He's very concerned about our countries future. It's no small thing for a former US president to declare that the foremost (supposedly) democracy in the world is broken! Why that is dismissed by so many escapes me, regardless of ones opinions of his presidential policies all those years ago. He's a democrat highly critical of Obama, not suppose to do that, right? He's more concerned with the country than he is with politics. Clinton doesn't have the balls to say the obvious as Carter has.

If he went to her funeral, you probably would have bitched and moaned "where does he come off going to that funeral, he isn't worthy, derp derp derp"

The derangement syndrome, really, get a hobby. You don't need a constant stream of manufactured outrage to get through your day...

That's because Clinton and Obama are Corporatist Liberal Democrats......Carter isn't.

Why is he so warm and subservient to this commie thug.

From what I understand Obama told Castro he should emulate Mandela when it comes to Human Rights for his people. If so, there is nothing sinister here.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

The Russians did that and it was 50 years ago. How long must we be angry? They backed down. I remember that week where we looked to the skies expecting hellfire to rain down on us.

Are we still angry with Germany? Japan? Even Vietnam? China? Russia? There comes a point when it's time to move on.

Carters concern for human rights came from his heart. Obama's I think is more for show and votes. Obama will spout the rhetoric but before he does he will give those corporations, wall street firms and special interests who financed his campaign a wink and a nudge. People may think what they may about Jimmy C, but what was saw was what you got. There was no wink and nudge to him. He was basically an outsider all the way.

Hopefully, Obama will get something right and open the door to Cuba.
How about Cuba release American prisoners, first?
