Costco labels bibles "Fiction"

Sorry, never heard of them.

Well get to it sweet-pea! You've got at least two subject to read up on: logical fallacies and Marvel's Thor.

I believe you have me confused with someone else, since I've made no argument.

Of course you have. You just like to hide behind the words of others when making your arguments. ;)

Sorry, but no. When I decide to make an argument you'll be able to tell the difference. Tonight I'm just supporting the discussion, mainly because the topic is interesting but I have no strong feeling one way or the other.:peace

The bible is the only book without a listed author. To be fair, they should track down any descendants of the supposed writers of each section and give them a divvy of the royalties from the most sold book on earth. I can almost smell the end of poverty.

Le!s see your evidence that that's not the case

I don't have to prove it's wrong, you have to prove it's right. Stop shifting the burden of proof.

It is fiction.

Look, I'm tired of people being all PC about this. Tiptoeing around the poor, persecuted Christians. As if they're made of glass and can't take anything that might be construed as negative about their religion.

It's not even negative. Look, Christians: there wasn't a guy who put two of every animal species on a boat during a global flood. The earth wasn't created in six days. The earth isn't flat. This is just reality. It's not an insult to your whole religion for me to say that. And you know what? Every Christian I've ever met is enough of an adult to hear me say that and not fall apart.

I'm not sure why you would think people tip toe around insulting Christians. Such notions are pretty mainstream today. It's more the perceived minority religions that receive public immunity, like Islam

At the very least they should come with a parental advisory sticker.

We see what happens when kids get a hold of one without any guidance... militant atheism born of spiritual ignorance.

Well - give them a chance to fix it, which might take time. If it was any other mislabeled genre or category no one would care - or notice.

why should they want or need to "fix it"? I think it needs no fixing but I would guess that the religious lobby will most likely disagree with me.

Here un the real world, you're not right, just because you say so.

Well, it's mountain out of a mole hill time.

On the bright side, at least no one will get decapitated over this.

If it bothers people so much, they could just buy the book, and remove the sticker. Problem solved.

Why do so many see conspiracies in everything?

What the heck is that?

People whose entire metaphysical discourse is ignorant trolling, who have not realized that metaphysical expression is human nature. Everyone that has had an extra dollar in their pocket has pondered that which is beyond our control and perception. Oppressing it is authoritarian and low class.
