    I think I'll pass, thanks.

Suit yourself. It's fun to point out your fallacies anyways.

I believe you have me confused with someone else, since I've made no argument.

Of course you have. You just like to hide behind the words of others when making your arguments.

Sorry, but no. When I decide to make an argument you'll be able to tell the difference. Tonight I'm just supporting the discussion, mainly because the topic is interesting but I have no strong feeling one way or the other.

The bible is the only book without a listed author. To be fair, they should track down any descendants of the supposed writers of each section and give them a divvy of the royalties from the most sold book on earth. I can almost smell the end of poverty.
Scientific fact: If you took all of the veins from your body and laid them end to end, you would die.

There is nothing demonstrably true that religion can provide the world that cannot be achieved more rationally through entirely secular means.

Look, I'm tired of people being all PC about this. Tiptoeing around the poor, persecuted Christians. As if they're made of glass and can't take anything that might be construed as negative about their religion.

It's not even negative. Look, Christians: there wasn't a guy who put two of every animal species on a boat during a global flood. The earth wasn't created in six days. The earth isn't flat. This is just reality. It's not an insult to your whole religion for me to say that. And you know what? Every Christian I've ever met is enough of an adult to hear me say that and not fall apart.
I'm not sure why you would think people tip toe around insulting Christians. Such notions are pretty mainstream today. It's more the perceived minority religions that receive public immunity, like Islam
