Militia group calls for Obama's assassination

I have a hobby, that is forecasting upcoming elections and watching old DVD's of the 1950 movies and older. I was going to watch A Dick Tracey movie made in the 30's but got sidetracked by the computer. I like Biden the way he is, the way he says what is on his mind, good, bad or indifferent.

what's your record predicting elections? did you call 2008 and 2012? how do you see 2014 and 2016?

I'll say this ... I like him a lot better now than I did a while back.

Somewhat off topic, my first choice for the 2008 Dem nomination was John Edwards. Thank whatever deity you believe in THAT didn't work out, since it turned out he was a colossal POS.

I was pretty much a John McCain man from the get go in 2008, he was the only Republican or Democrat I voted for in the last 6 presidential elections. I voted Perot twice in the 90's Browne twice in the 00's and Johnson last year. I don't buy this voting for the lesser of two evils or the least worst candidate whatsoever.

One of my liberal friends, in 2008, told me that he would not vote for Palin because she was not educated. And voted for Biden, who not only not educated, but also a complete idiot. Paradox.
Of course, you just have to know English better than I do. You are certainly a quite educated person's. Why are you so stupid that you let yourself be liberal in adulthood?

Loader, don't look now, but I think you just proved his point ... just saying ... :stooges

I lost all respect for McCain with this moment.

I realize primaries are dirty business, but the way the Bush campaign rat****ed McCain in South Carolina in 2000 was beyond the pale. Yet there McCain was, hugging the guy who race-baited his way into winning that primary. Maverick, my ass.

I never liked seeing Obama welcome Hillary into the fold after it was her campaign that started the birther nonsense, either. I never had much use for that carpetbagger who had the balls to show up to a campaign rally in New York in a Yankee hat after being a lifelong Cubs fan. I met her once, I found her very standoffish. Plus, she voted for Iraq, and I have sworn a lifelong pledge to never vote for anyone who voted for the Iraq War, for any office.

This isn't going to end well for them.

Based on what I heard, I would have liked to see him prosecuted. Don't know enough about what the investigators found to comment further.

That's understandable, the media didn't really cover this due to their own bias against Zimmerman at the time....

More than likely, lack of evidence.

Lack of evidence? Really?....

"The New Black Panther Party on Thursday circulated a “wanted dead or alive” poster for George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting of black Florida teen Trayvon Martin, the citizen journalism site Allvoices.com reported.

Zimmerman — a half-white, half-Hispanic neighborhood watch volunteer — has said he was acting in self-defense when he shot 17-year-old Martin one month ago. Martin was found to be carrying only an iced tea and a bag of Skittles. The case has ignited into a racial firestorm, particularly as Zimmerman has not been arrested or charged.

The “dead or alive” posters were passed out during a press conference led by Minister Mikhail Muhummud, who called himself the southern regional director for the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense in Jacksonville, Florida.

“Murdered in cold blood,” the flyer says. “Child killer of Trayvon Martin — Wanted dead or alive.”

According to Allvoices, Muhummud called for Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee’s firing and for President Barack Obama to intervene. Lee has since “temporarily stepped down” from his post, and Obama remarked about the case Friday, saying “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.”

Muhummud also told the assembled crowd he was not concerned about reports of death threats against Zimmerman, saying “God dammit, he should be fearful for his life.”

Lack of evidence? You not only had the flyer distributed by this persons group at a rally they organized, and held, but you have on tape, a death threat, and at the least inciting...Lack of evidence?

Sure, in 2012 I called the house right, the presidency, but missed two senate races, North Dakota and Indiana. I didn't take into account all the party switchers, by that I mean people who would vote Republican for president and democratic for senators. Romney won Indiana by 12 point and yet they elected Donnelly a Democrat to the senate, in North Dakota, Romney won there by an amazing 20 point only to have the people of North Dakota send a Democrat heidekamp to the senate. Go figure.

I do a monthly blog on my profile and the next one is due 1 Dec. here is the one for 1 Nov.

There will be changes to it come 1 Dec and I have also added two states to my senate watch list. Stay tuned as they say.

well that didn't take long at all. Usually takes a few decades before even the church hates you.

I was 49/50 on states in 2012 (missed Florida), and pretty much nailed the Senate races in 2010. I can't pick House races for ****.

Both McCain and I are military men and there is a certain bond and respect there. I have never cared much for Hillary and would never vote for her. On Biden I would have to think about it, but I wonder about his age. But it is way too early to get into 2016, it is quite far out for 2014 even although I already started.

Fair enough on all counts. Biden will be what, 74 in 2016? I can't see him being a legit candidate. But, as you are implying, time will tell.

As 2014 draws closer, I'd like to compare notes regarding your take on the races. I'm a bit of a fan of political theater myself ... not the greatest prognosticator, but I'm getting better.

The trick with the house races is to totally ignore the generic congressional polls and go district by district.

Well, I mean toss up races, not the gerrymandered safe districts. I try to find local polling, but it's not easy finding polling data from Pig's Knuckle, West Virginia. Of course, it's pretty easy to tell which way Pig's Knuckle, West Virginia is going to go. Socialist Party AGAIN.

Like I said check out my blog, it is a bit out of date being that was done a few days prior to 1 Nov, but that is the format I use. Then when it comes to the president, the party affiliation polls can be quite helpful. Gallup does a real good job on this. One other things, always look for trends, whether or not one party or candidates are raising or falling in the polls.

What's your take on Nate Silver and his analyses? I'm a bit of a Silver fanboi from his days at Baseball Prospectus. Curious to hear an unbiased opinion, if you can offer one.

Yes, he will at the very least get an unpleasant visit from the SS.

I happen to know that the Secret Service really despises that short hand and wishes people would stop using it.

That's understandable, the media didn't really cover this due to their own bias against Zimmerman at the time....

Actually, it was covered.

Covered MORE than this group calling or the ASSASSINATION of a POTUS. Which do you think should get more airtime?

But thank you for the bias interjection.

Christian militia calls for Obama

The Christian American Patriots Militia is openly calling for the assassination of President Barack Obama on their Facebook page. The Christian militia calls Obama a “dictator,” and claims the “authority to kill Obama comes from the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.”

Scumbags.

Arrest them all

I'm sure there are similar websites with this kind of hatred. I choose to ignore them.

They both should be covered...Neither one is justifiable.

I don't know how this will come through, perhaps you can try zooming in and out.

Nate is one of the best if not right there on top. But he ceased with the NYT's and is now moving his 538 to ESPN and will continue with his election forecasts once he gets fully settle in.

So, by your standard there is a bias against Obama as well.

But I have to ask a question, with either case, how much coverage is really appropriate? The more coverage, the more 15 minutes of fame for hate groups. Could backfire.

Of course, everyone on the left are such kind, gentle, civil individuals and would never do or say anything untoward. Martin Bashir had an epiphany and is now a "loonies on the right"? Do not perceive I am a Palin fan; however, he immediately came to mind after your accusatory generalization concerning the right.

What exactly was my generalization....?

Did you read who I responded to? You seem like you have axe and trying to find a place to grind it.
