Romney won Indiana by 12 point and yet they elected Donnelly a Democrat to the senate, in North Dakota, Romney won there by an amazing 20 point only to have the people of North Dakota send a Democrat heidekamp to the senate. Go figure.

I do a monthly blog on my profile and the next one is due 1 Dec. here is the one for 1 Nov.

There will be changes to it come 1 Dec and I have also added two states to my senate watch list. Stay tuned as they say.
I was 49/50 on states in 2012 (missed Florida), and pretty much nailed the Senate races in 2010. I can't pick House races for ****.

I realize primaries are dirty business, but the way the Bush campaign rat****ed McCain in South Carolina in 2000 was beyond the pale. Yet there McCain was, hugging the guy who race-baited his way into winning that primary. Maverick, my ass.

I never liked seeing Obama welcome Hillary into the fold after it was her campaign that started the birther nonsense, either. I never had much use for that carpetbagger who had the balls to show up to a campaign rally in New York in a Yankee hat after being a lifelong Cubs fan. I met her once, I found her very standoffish. Plus, she voted for Iraq, and I have sworn a lifelong pledge to never vote for anyone who voted for the Iraq War, for any office.
Both McCain and I are military men and there is a certain bond and respect there. I have never cared much for Hillary and would never vote for her. On Biden I would have to think about it, but I wonder about his age. But it is way too early to get into 2016, it is quite far out for 2014 even although I already started.
This Reform Party member thinks it is high past time that we start electing Americans to congress and the presidency who put America first and their political party further down the line. But for way too long we have been electing Republicans and Democrats who happen to be Americans instead of Americans who happen to be Republicans and Democrats.

Fair enough on all counts. Biden will be what, 74 in 2016? I can't see him being a legit candidate. But, as you are implying, time will tell.

As 2014 draws closer, I'd like to compare notes regarding your take on the races. I'm a bit of a fan of political theater myself ... not the greatest prognosticator, but I'm getting better.

The trick with the house races is to totally ignore the generic congressional polls and go district by district.

Well, I mean toss up races, not the gerrymandered safe districts. I try to find local polling, but it's not easy finding polling data from Pig's Knuckle, West Virginia. Of course, it's pretty easy to tell which way Pig's Knuckle, West Virginia is going to go. Socialist Party AGAIN.

Like I said check out my blog, it is a bit out of date being that was done a few days prior to 1 Nov, but that is the format I use. Then when it comes to the president, the party affiliation polls can be quite helpful. Gallup does a real good job on this. One other things, always look for trends, whether or not one party or candidates are raising or falling in the polls.

What's your take on Nate Silver and his analyses? I'm a bit of a Silver fanboi from his days at Baseball Prospectus. Curious to hear an unbiased opinion, if you can offer one.

    Actually, it was covered.

Covered MORE than this group calling or the ASSASSINATION of a POTUS. Which do you think should get more airtime?

But thank you for the bias interjection.
