Israel calls Iran Nuclear deal a "historic mistake"

We have and agreement with Israel that if anyone attacks Israel its and attack on us.
GWB would have acted on that agreement. Don't think Obama would.

If Israel launches an unprovoked attack on Iran I believe that agreement will be off the table.

I agree with Israel that it's a bad idea to consent to a Middle Eastern country with a long history of aggression and conflict with it's neighbours engaging in a secret nuclear weapon program.

That is probably the most ironic statement I've seen so far on this forum. I'm a supporter of Israel overall, but even I can't resist a chuckle at that.

While it is somewhat true that Israel has a secretive nuclear program and has been involved in conflicts with it's neighbors, they are in fact, not supporters, sponsors and facilitators of world-wide terrorist activity like Iran.

Point taken.

Liberals are incapable of this distinction. Its all exactly the same, you know.

I hope you appreciate the irony was entirely intended.

And whether Israel has been involved in terrorism or not is something of (highly emotive) opinion.

The bottom line is that I would be no more (or less) concerned about Iran having nuclear weapons as I am about Israel, India, Pakistan or Russia having them and only slightly more concerned than I am about the USA, France and the UK.

Certainly not as the this L.A. Times article states that they do.
Israel has 80 nuclear warheads, can make 115 to 190 more, report says - Los Angeles Times

My thinking only included conventional arms. How would Israel justify a nuclear strike on Iran ?

I didnt say they could justify it, altho I dont believe they care what we think and will do what they want if they think it will succeed. Hopefully even Israel realizes that using nukes looses a genie from the bottle that cannot be controlled.

And here the right-wing nutjobs have been screeching that this deal is OBAMA CAVING TO ARE ENEMIES RARRR.

But apparently Israel is just going to nuke them

:popcorn2: Waiting on the reply to "Germany is landlocked"..................

They have access to the north sea and the baltic sea. I guess they could shoot at a Dutch or Swedish ship by mistake, you know because their neighbors are so hostile. Just like Israel's.
