I'm a woman and if she had only gone one step further....thru the screen door (which is not much safety barrier) I most likely would have shot her if she was screaming and acting crazy. Others in the home need to be protected as well.

So a man, disoriented in the dark and middle of the night? It's not hard to imagine...altho we were not there and do not know....that he felt very threatened. He didnt know if she had a weapon either.

So I believe this case is still pretty open as to whether shooting was justified but I dont believe for a moment that it was with 'intent to murder.' I believe it was in the belief of self defense.

Again, no one is saying you can't defend yourself. I'm not sure why you keep going on about this.

As for needing a gun to feel strong? Not sure what you mean there. I need a gun because they have guns. I want to even the playing ground. You can go pound your chest and clinch your fists all you want. They have a knife, and have no intention of dropping it. Personally, I walk around worried about nothing and I sleep soundly at night.

I suppose they are weak as well by your logic.
If you feel the need to have a supposed equalizer, that means without it, you feel there is an imbalance... with you on the weak end.

Ummm, what happened to closing the door? Shouldn't that be the first act if you feel threatened?

Really? How many bullets can home invaders shoot in 3 minutes? and the dog will be first

That is just false. The 3 minute response time was to a call saying someone was shot. The average police time is 1 hour. If ever.

But tell me, how many times have you called the police when someone knocked on your door? Let's find out if you mean what you post.

It would be for me. I dont know why he didnt. I do know alot about violent situations and people not thinking clearly. So I still think we need to hear more about it.

Uhh....yeah. They have a knife, gun, or a multitude of people....and I have my fists of fury and a pair of super stylish loafers (which I'm not planning on scuffing so help me god). Fair to say there's an imbalance.

Unless you take this course, in which case your attackers drop their guns, piss themselves, and run in fear.

This is a much simpler, more effective means of dealing with threats

Yeah a barking dog is just an annoyance more than a deterrent. I suppose you could throw the cell phone and use harsh language? lol
