House Republicans introduce resolution to impeach Attorney General Holder[W:65]

Re: House Republicans introduce resolution to impeach Attorney General Holder

You people hate thinkers, who think differently than you. You all salevate st thr idea of government restrictions on speech and thought. Who was it that gave us The Fairness Doctrine? Oh yeah...

You just make stuff up and try to smear liberals with it. That's horribly dishonest.

Re: House Republicans introduce resolution to impeach Attorney General Holder

since they are rightists inserting their form of martial law on Obama/Holder, they are worse than Franco--but yes to answer your question ..
American Conservatives are comparable to Francoists now? :lamo

rightists have all thought the same in goose-step for 58 months--
except when they are at war with each other--
please hurry up and help solve the civil war so we can get on with our Nation ..

I noticed this throughout every discussion I've ever had with a conservative on every forum.

Accuse their opposition of being a "liberal" then tear down a bunch of parodies of what they think a liberal thinks. It's most egregious on this forum because everyone can see another person's "lean" so there's really no excuse.

Going all the way back to Clinton but forgetting to include Reagan. And using the
"Bobby did it so why can't I childish excuse. Typical conservative partisan.

I said I'm indifferent except for the hypocrisy. Did Dems bring up impeachment against Gonzales? Did Dems bring up impeachment against Reagan?

Nope. And furthermore all of a sudden conservatives and other blind partisans have completely forgotten about touting the Unitary Executive Theory.

Articles of Impeachment are not a toy as conservatives seem to believe.

Your'e bringing up Alberto Gonzales's firing of US attorneys without mentioning Janet Reno's mass firings and I'M the partisan ?

Your'e clearly the hypocrite.

Holder perjured himself twice and when he worked for Reno back in the 90s he was instrumental in in the more than 15 lawsuites filed against banks because of so called "discrimination".

If anyone deserves to be impeached its Holder and if you Libs have a probl with that quit electing scumbags who will undoubtedly appoint scumbags to run their agencencies.

No, you're just walkin the line..
I hit a nerve.
Do you ever answer questions or just 4-word snark..

I support the effort. In my opinion, Eric Holder is not holding his office in good behavior.

Stop making excuses for your lack of consistency.

Its not the Conservarives fault on this forum that your ideology pre-empts your objectivity.

Did Republicans bring up articles of impeachment against Janet Reno? If not why not? What has Holder done that is so much worse? Nothing. This current crop of Repubs are not functional adults.

Holder perjured himself twice
and we can play the never-ending Nixon pay-back until the end of time with rightists

is that impeachable??more like laudable!!

now Holder deserves it

now you're calling Americans scumbags--another fine performance by Fenton .

What lack of consistency? I pointed out the Repubs are currently swinging around the Impeachment hammer like it's a toy. If you have a problem with someone pointing out conservative hypocrisy, then conservatives should stop being hypocrites.

Yeah, you can pretty much set your watch by that with a good chunk of our conservative commentariat. Not a majority by any means, but a decent lot of them. To be fair, you have some lefties here who do somewhat similar things; however, here any way, it seems much more prevalent from the right.

better to post to people who make sense and cause you to enjoy being on this forum..

they are here to tear down this President..

Rightist posters are just like the GOP House of NO and the GOP Senate of Filibuster..
They wait for their daily meme from Rushbo ..

Re: House Republicans introduce resolution to impeach Attorney General Holder

This reminds me of the chinese Epic :Romance of the three kingdoms.

In it three sides vie for power. Wei, Shu, and Wu.

The point is there are more than two sides when it comes to politics. That conservatives victimization mindset only allows for an "us vs them" mindset is almost embarrassing. Yeah every side does it, but when talking to conservatives it's their default position and makes it nearly impossible to have any sort of discussion.

It gets redundant refuting "liberals like you want unlimited government powah!!!" nonsense.

No, you're just walkin the line..

You don't have the history around here to understand my comment to begin with. You do some research on what many liberal say in discussing the Constitution, and you'll understand my comments.

How far will this GOP House go in the next 38 months??

Well, now this depends on how far our own Speaker wants to take things doesn't it? My guess is not very far, because Boehner is afraid of the media assault that would be unleashed...

Why are they REALLY going after Holder??

It was right there in the OP....Didn't you read it?

"“the offenses of lying to Congress, refusing to comply with a subpoena, and failing to fulfill his oath of office.”
Olson cites Holder’s unwillingness to cooperate during the investigation into the botched Operation “Fast and Furious, his refusal to prosecute those involved IRS targeting of conservative groups, his failure to enforce laws including the Defense of Marriage Act, and his “false testimony” about the DOJ’s monitoring of Fox News journalist James Rosen as articles that are grounds for impeachment."

Could it be Holder is going after the very states, sponsored by these GOP members for impeachment, with anti-voting laws that will go the SCOTUS??

No. As I said it was right there in the OP....This is just an attempt to derail the thread...

Nonsense...Do you remember this?....

"During Campaign 2008, Barack Obama famously told Democrats to take guns to knife fights.

He told a crowd of supporters to “argue with neighbors; get in their face.” By the way, watch the full clip to hear Barack Obama say he will lower taxes and support the second amendment.

In 2009, the White House created an email address flag@whitehouse.gov and encouraged people to report their neighbors who might disagree with Obamacare. The DNC admitted the White House was engaged in collecting information on people.

During August recesses in 2009, the Obama Adminstration told Democrats in Congress to “punch back twice as hard” at Republicans.

In 2011, the Obama White House set up a ridiculous website called Attack Watch to document and expose those hostile to them."

snip

"President Obama did not have to tell the IRS specifically to harass conservative, evangelical, and Jewish groups who might oppose him. His rhetoric on the campaign trail and in the permanent campaign of the White House operations made clear what he wanted. IRS agents not only harassed conservative groups, evangelical groups, and Jewish groups, but also leaked their confidential tax information to left-leaning groups. The National Organization for Marriage and other groups had their donor lists leaked subjecting those donors to harassment. A Romney donor was harassed by the IRS. More than one person has emailed me to say that after they reported themselves to flag@whitehouse.gov they were audited by the IRS — in one case audited several times about just one tax year."

Will no one rid me of this turbulent group? | RedState

Then in speaking on the hispanic television station Obama spoke of "punishing our enemies"...

Seems you are selectively forgetting the divisive rhetoric Obama uses when addressing his political opponents...It is the President that should be setting the tone. And the tone he is setting is one of war with opposing Americans to his agenda. It's dangerous. His playbook is to rile up the base with this tone, then when his policies fail, or he gets busted for doing shady things as President, he and his disingenuous cohorts immediately cry racism, and suffer from acute projectionism when addressing their political opponents...

Get a new playbook, this one is outed.

My comment was not partisan based. I am not a member of the GOP.

Assuming things about others in debate, does not lead to accurate translation. However, doing so bears a lot of logical fallacy fruit.

Like when he prosecuted those club wielding thugs, who were intimidating voter at a polling house? Oh...wait...he refused to prosecute them.

My sons finished high school years ago, boy.

Don't know how far they will get with this, but I gotta say, it's about time someone started going after this corrupt administration.

I'm frankly astonished that Holder has stayed on this long after how many gaffes and embarrassing situations he's created for the administration, and I'm personally no fan. However I can't believe we would waste time and political capital trying to pass another symbolic censure resolution against Holder and think by upping the ante to impeachment we'll get more credibility. We should be focusing on the ACA and the unique opportunity we have to make some real headway, not clowning around with fodder for email newsletters. This is silly. I'm disappointed.
