Yeah, I don't see a problem with harvesting the condemned organs if they want to donate. It just seems weird. I'm an organ donor myself, but would prefer that they take what they need after I'm dead.

Instead of strapping the condemned to a gurney and executing him, he would be put on an operating table, his organs harvested, then the plug pulled on him afterwards. IMHO, this would not be considered cruel and unusual punishment, but would be a way for a condemned to show his remorse by saving a life, while sacrificing his own. Many lives could be saved.

This should be a voluntary option for EVERY condemned killer.

    What do you think?

    Article is here.
I'm a bit of two minds on this one, considering the recent revelations of China's organ mining from prisoners in that country. It is, however, a form of atonement for the person sentenced to die, so that is to be commended.

The main problem I see with this is security to make sure the inmate doesn't try to escape.

I think I would go with the medical opinion. If it was a healthy organ and my life, or my child's or spouse's life was in jeopardy?

    Yeah....I'd take a healthy organ.

Typical mindless CON dodge. Can't use facts so you get snarky. My cattle graze in my pastures- they have taught me a lot about mindless CON cattle... one thing I have noticed- online confronting a CON with facts has the same impact as showing a steer calf a hamburger.... they just don't get it!

I would guess you have shown a calf a hamburger about as many times as you have actually used facts. Not many times, if at all.

He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

I wasn't referring to after, more like before they even get the table.

More CON BS. I cited the Bible chapter and verse, you barely waved your hand at it. I pointed out the law and AMA BOTH say early term abortion isn't murder- you try and drag the ACA into it...

I'd say you seem to not know a fact when it moos at you...

If he saves a life then doesn't that make it all even? What's the justification for killing him after then? Maybe to then make it even again, the organs are removed from whoever got them.

Yeah i have to mock any state with medieval tactics posing as justice.
