Re: Ohio delays inmate's execution over organ donation

We have a state politician trying to get this done here in Oklahoma. It has opposition from doctors. One was quoted on camera citing the doctor's pledge to stay out of executions. it appears somewhere in 1994 the AMA declared a doctor is prohibited from declaring an inmate dead, something about the focus of a doctor is on helping a patient live and not certifying a criminal's death upon execution.

made me wonder if non capital crime felons could donate an organ, or part in the case of a liver and earn parole.

Train an abortion doctor to do it. They don't have anything against executions.

Hmmm.... if at the last mnute they learn the person really was innocent... do they put the organs back in?

I think they would have to brain-dead kill the person first "just in case."

Nice try but last I checked the AMA doesn't classify early term abortions as an execution, the legal system doesn't classify an early term abortion an execution, nor does the Bible have an admonishment against abortions of any kind unlike adultery, men with men and blending textiles, so I do believe you are off base and your stalking horse has a limp...

Check again. The IPAB and/or the Sec of HHS can decide almost anything they want. They decide who lives and dies.

the legal system doesn't classify an early term abortion an execution,
Aw. Do the same exact thing with as little as one minute difference makes a difference on weather it's an execution or not? No sale.

nor does the Bible have an admonishment against abortions of any kind unlike adultery, men with men and blending textiles,
Of course it does. Try reading the ten commandments.

so I do believe you are off base and your stalking horse has a limp...
Nope, I'm right on the money. Limp on back to your stall.

Nice CON game but I said AMA, and your attempt at making this some gubmint thing is bogus.

There is the rub, the minute difference you refer to is viability, not exact time. fact is NO ONE can tell down to the minute, more CON BS.

Funny I don't see abortion listed in the 10 commandments, covet, keeping the Sabbath holy, idolatry, theft- but not aborting the unborn....

Now the Bible does mention abortion-

Exodus 21:22 gives the punishment for causing an UNWANTED abortion as a fine determined by the judges. Murder of the woman is punishable by death but not causing an abortion. causing her to lose the fetus is a civil lawsuit, killing the woman is eye for eye life for a life stuff.

Numbers 5 11:31 has a very detailed religious act to determine if a wife was made pregnant by a man other than her husband and if the fetus is by another man the ritual and 'water of bitterness' would abort the another man's child.

You really should do more than attempt an very vague cherry pick of the Good Book, and the AMA set the execution guidelines- trying to spin up some vast gubmint conspiracy against fetuses is lame...

So the money you're on is CON lame bucks... and your stalking horse is still loose...

Oh come on jred... that was funny. When I read the OP that movie is the first thing that came to my mind. Of course the second movie reference that came to mind was:

    "Whose brain did you get"

    "Abby Someone"

    "Abby who?"

"I think it was Abby Normal"

"So you brought me an abnormal brain?" -- Young Frankenstein

Well there was some movie or show that had a killer's hand attached to someone and the horror ensued... I thought that was what you were talking about.

It was an old movie, I was trying to make a joke. Sometimes I think I'm the only one here with a sense of humor.
