I don't see how. If I click buy on eBay, but don't actually pay, I don't own what I supposedly bought.

The same goes for anything else in the world. If I go to the clothing store, pick a pair of pants off of the shelf but don't pay for them, I can't leave with them because they're not mine.

The purpose of the law was to make people have insurance. If they don't pay, they do not have insurance, and shouldn't be counted.

I'd like to know exactly how paying the fine to the federal government is going to lower health care costs?

If young healthy people don't actually sign up and pay for the insurance, the PPACA will collapse under its own weight, and those of us that have insurance will even more money for that insurance than we already do (my premium and co-pay has gone up over 50% already). I do not look forward to seeing what my premium and co-pay will be a few years from now.

What happened to the promise that our personal medical costs would all go down by an average of $2,500.00 a year?

There are more than 15 million young people that don't need nor want insurance.

when you have an item in a cart it just means you have selected an item and haven't arranged payment and hit the finale accept to purchase said item. I have items in carts all over the internet doesn't mean I plan to buy any of them I do it incase I do decide and it is there for me to arrange payment and hit accept to have the item shipped

The figures being thrown around in the Obamacare debate approach 40+ million (uninsured alone). If 15 million were the number we wouldn't have needed Obamacare in the first place.

There is a difference between the number of uninsured people and the number of policies required to cover them - think family.

it isn't below 50,000---it is 106,185 people who have signed up for ACA during October---here we are on Day 43 and things are getting better every day with ACA and all the Republicans have is the Dems greatest weapon---Darrel Issa and his kangaroo court

Whatever. Should it have been the biggest issue for a sitting president? When we are flooded with other more pressing issues for our country?
