I do understand SA is a "stable "country - what we were looking for - but the excessive ties need to change, and we really need to be more neutral in that region.

I also agree wholeheartly on Egypt, if any Arab state deserves our support it is Egypt. Which is why Obama's suspension of military aid was yet another of his foreign policy blunders.

For all intents the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, is now an outlawed political party. We need to support Eqypty
(again the stability thing, as well as we do not need to be encouraging Muslim fundamentalists).

Obama is a nebbish on foreign affairs, has no clue about realpolitik

It's not just Obama.....its the Democrats and the Neo Cons too. Albeit with the Neo Cons they are not into taking two steps back and one step forward like the democrats have proved time and time again.

The strategy was to play off groups and seek out what they thought was moderate, and willing to do business with the west.

Problem with all of it.....was taking the stance they had to be let into the game. Which was a false premise.

Apparently none of them killed the oil business or drove gas up to $7/gallon.

If we looked at the FACTS, your post(s) would be just as ridiculous as before and mine would be shown as the tongue-in-cheek comment(s) they have always been meant to be.

    Also, see above.
Oh, here we go: Obama had nothing to do woth the bad stuff. LOL!

Because the production is a result of pre-Obama drilling, or on private land.

We'll be waiting forlinks to Obama's pro-drilling policies.

    Ah, it's because of Bush....

As Conservative likes to say, he has been out of office for more than 4 years.

Oil production here is higher than ever, meaning that Obama didn't "kill the oil industry."
