State Obamacare exchanges enroll 3 pct of target so far -report

You mean the old system, when my copays were $20 instead of $100, and when my deductible was $500 instead of $2,000?

Yes, I miss that system, and I'm fortunate to be able to afford it. This is KILLING a lot of middle-class and poor Americans right now, who aren't taking their kids to the doctor because they don't have the $100.

Not to mention, overall rates are skyrocketing, and people can't see their doctors in many cases.

Yeah, this is just great.

Under Obamacare, my copay is 5 bucks for an office visit, 30 bucks for a specialist, and 5 bucks for a prescription, so I don't see where you are getting your numbers from.

I just don't see them getting the numbers they will need for this thing to work until people show up to do their taxes and find out they will be fined for not having it. Then we'll probably see the numbers go up, but then the jury is out how people will respond to that.

they would not be fined until they do their 2014 taxes in 2015 i would imagine, especially since enrollment is open to March.

Yeah? What's your deductible?

Of course, the one thing that is mandated under the new program is that preventive visits (annual check-ups and screenings) are free... without any co-pays.

Just not with the doctor you want to see.

That's what mine is, but my employer kicks in 1,500/yr in an HSA. All in all, not bad for $250/mo premium.

True, but we must keep in mind what is going to happen once the employer delay runs out. At that point, at least at my company there is a lot of fear that our plans will be dumped.

All the bad predications about Obamadon'tcare have been proven true so far. I'd expect that one to be true as well.

That's going to suck....Even if I were to find a $3K deductible, it might as well be $100K....I don't have it.

Here's something, my boss and I were talking about, that I haven't heard so far, but wouldn't doubt that it's in there...He was telling me that at some point, the HC mandate is tied to driver licences, so when people say they'll just pay the penalty, they are dead wrong when the state informs them that due to the ACA mandates their driver licence is suspended until they provide proof of approved insurance.

Have you heard anything about that?
