Election night 2013

I was going with Roves assessment of Washington DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Wherein he cites about the Federal government and all those Federal workers as well Union employees.

Sometimes.....Neo Cons will put those answers out there, despite deflecting on something else they are asked.. ;)

Dream--weaver...Gerry-mander out the Dem sections you don't like in Maryland, DC, Virginia and make a 51st state--give DC voters a vote and get rid of that Dem filth--a win-win ala Christie

In spite of the lies the Clinton clone put in his ads and the money the dems spent on their third party shill, the biggest problem was the RINO's controlling the Reps money. They didn't like Cuccunelli so they wasted their money on the fat a** in NJ. They should be run out of the GOP and with any luck they will be.

Try again.....and get a grip on those numbers of Two Largest Unions in the Country that work out of DC. You might then have some sort of clue.

So what you are saying is that people are mind numb robots who vote for party over principles and because of party nothing else matters? Why is gerrymandering such an issue with you as it cheapens the individual freedom of choice and links everything to party? Amazing how the party of choice is that party only when the issues are those supported by the elite. You see, freedom of choice is right when it is about the right to kill the unborn or marry someone of the same sex, but not when it is about health insurance and the choice of people not to purchase it.

The elections last night proved just how weak the Democrat position is and how some here don't really care about results, only ideology where social issues trump economic issues. Va. was lost when the winner got a minority of the vote, Christie won big and yet the liberals will spin this as a big landslide victory. Obamacare and the economic results are going to be the albatross around the neck of the Democrat Party.

But unions are such a small percent of workers out of one side of thine mouth

There isn't much the Virginia Election is saying. McAuliffe barely won doubling the money over a Tea party Candidate. It took Biden, Clinton and Obama just to put McAuliffe over the top. As well as Michelle Obama's Radio Ads. Obama himself having to make a showing in order for Out of State Democrat who has never held an elected position in his life.....to win. So the Democrats will spin it that this is the breakdown of the GOP and a refute of the Tea Party. While the Tea Party and the GOP will say it shows a refute of Obamacare. The problem isn't the spin or the media play. The problem for the Democrats is.....seeing this election that had poll numbers in the double digits for McAuliffe going into the last couple of days. Out spending and can only manage to eek-out a slight victory. Leaves to many other Democrats looking at Obamacare and knowing they are on the Bubble. That Independents, undecided, and the GOP came out to vote for the Republican candidate and almost made the pass. Of course Republicans now know if they would have ran a legitimate contender. They could have won it. Now the Christie election does indeed show something.....it was a Landslide. 62% of the Vote. With Christie having 1/3rd of Democrats vote for him. Women Vote for him. Hispanics Vote for him and he even pulled more than the usual with the youth vote. This puts Christie in the front runner position for the 2016 Election for the GOP and presents a real Problem for the Democrats.....mainly due to Obamacare.

ORRRRR the democrat win in Virginia shows the tide is turning on the GOP grip on the 'Southern Strategy' as no Democrat has held the office of Governor in Virginia since '77, right after Watergate. What this means for the South depends on your political lean but now Democrats hold key positions such as both Senate seats.

Interesting to hear complaints about being out spent- the parties spent approx 33 and 21 million. What is telling is there was only one other real nationally important elections this go-round. This begs the question why didn't the TPs and RNC pour in massive amounts of money like they did when Northern TP governors were facing recalls and referendums? Where is the massive funding Californians received to defeat SSM?

Seems some of the shine has worn off the TP movement.

Now Christie could very well be the death knell of the TP uprising. Cruz and Paul must be feeling a bit uneasy on how well Christie reached across the political divide. While some more moderate GOP members may see Christie as the Savior of their party, I can't help but think so many so entrenched in the radical right see him as a Republican in name only and if he wins the White House the policies will be Democrat Light, not TP Strong.

Can't help but wonder if the Billionaires backing the Astro-turf TP groups will be as willing to back a RINO in the Presidential race...:peace

Oh, and it looks like you missed that part where Rove made that Assessment by the Demographic as they are now. You didn't think states would actually give up part of their sovereignty just so some Party can live in its own region now did you?

Or were you trying to say Rove was wrong and that more Republicans are living in The Region? He also included College Universities.

Got any thing that can dispute what Rove is saying? That the region has more Liberals living in it and will continue to have more? I will even accept something fringe like. You shouldn't have any problem coming up with something from the outside the box.....huh? ;)

He might think they just accepted McAuliffe into the family.....tis all. Do you think he understands the token Puppet strategy and the strings that come with it? He must huh, especially knowing the guy doesn't even come from the state nor that region of the country. But that's alright let him govern over Virginians Right?

Then again it can be just like most of Non Partisan political analysts believe while at the same time. The same two partisan parties spin it out. Validating what the Non Partisans stated in the first place.

Kinda like what they are doing now in todays reality.

It's that aroma you're smelling out of Chicago. Virginia isn't close, they must not teach geography up there.

And like Quinn.....he will go into court and freeze their pay.

He can certainly try. But his only power legislatively is to suggest bills to congress, if congress goes their own route and he vetoes it he has no legal standing. The Legislature will have done it's job.

So then soon we will have that Progressive Utopia you people seem to want to thrust on the rest of us, high debt, high unemployment, low economic growth, redistribution of wealth so that you can have whatever you want without working for it? Yes, that liberal dream is upon us. Guess only liberal billionaires matter these days?

Yeah, well being a Clinton Crat.....you know he will run to the courts.

Laughing, oh i don't want to 'thrust' anything your way... Nor am I willing to let a CON peddle is his crap. What CONs enshrine is casino capitalism, massive speculative manipulations the taxpayer pays for both in taxes and personal wealth. Without massive upheavals caused by the CONs financial ponzi schemes social safety net spending would not be an issue. Low economic growth isn't a partisan issue, our economy no longer gets the bounce from being the sole survivor of WWII, and a lifetime of false economic slight of hand to keep economic growth appearing to be endless. Having a long climb of prosperity matters little if during a go-go President's term in office the floor collapses and those gains end up in smoke for millions of Americans while padding the wealth of a few millionaires. FYI EVERY study shows the upper 1% gaining in wealth no matter the economic conditions... wealth is not being redistributed

Where in the hell did you get your education? Did they ever teach you how to research and to verify results? Name for me one successful economic policy Obama has implemented since taking office, just one? You don't seem to understand that the money belongs to the people who earned it, taxes are money taken away from the people to be spent by politicians who have amassed a 17 trillion dollar debt yet that isn't big enough for you so you implement Obamacare. You see, progressives like you love to spend someone else's money in the name of compassion yet never getting compassionate results, just more power for liberalism.

You are part of the entitlement generation, the one who believes all the bs liberal rhetoric. I assure you that you will grow out of it but probably too late. This President took office at the end of a terrible recession. His party was helpful in creating that recession and today we see the results of the economic policies Obama claimed would get us out of that recession.

146.6 million Americans working in December 2007 when the recession began, 144.3 million working today

Debt when Obama Took office 10.6 trillion dollars today it is over 17 trillion

Unemployment averaged under 5.5% during Bush term over 8% under Obama and Bush never had a million discouraged workers dropping out of the labor force.

Your claim of the income gap widening means nothing since this isn't a zero sum game economy. Too bad you don't understand that people lose in this economy because of liberalism which destroys incentive. You have no answers, just more feel good rhetoric saying nothing.

I LOVE CONvoluted history. But first I am in no way part of any entitlement generation. I went and served my country as I figured it is what healthy American males should do. Serve the greatest nation on the planet.

Now the CONvoluted history... it is like CONs can't admit the economy fell apart do the Casino capitalism. The day President Obama took office suddenly the wheels came off...

Ya'll forget who pushed for the first TARP, (hint BushII) CONs refuse to admit the economy was free falling during the election all but sealing Senator McCain's doom at the ballot box.

Your CON stats don't tell all the facts... funny how that works... :2wave:

.....

You need to find better talking points sources. Since 1977, Virginia elected as Governor Doug Wilder, Chuck Robb, Mark Warner, and Tim Kaine all democrats that I can recall just off the top of my head.

Christie won big because he scheduled the election to fill the open Senate seat prior to the real election day. The Democrats came out then to elect Cory Booker, many of them probably stayed home yesterday. BFD

Terry McAuliffe is a big supporter of Obamacare and the NRA spent a lot of money trying to defeat him, yet he won.

That is your opinion but I doubt that anyone who served our country would classify themselves as a "progressive" but if you did, thank you for your service. I know a lot of military men and women turning over in their graves with your attitude now.

The economy didn't fall apart. How were you hurt by this recession? You bought the media spin and the Obama rhetoric and the question is why? Those that bought homes they couldn't afford on interest rates that were variable and then were forced to sell were indeed hurt. over 22 million unemployed/under employed/discouraged workers TODAY are still in a recession due to poor economic policies of Obama.

I forgot nothing TARP was pushed by Bush and supported by Obama. TARP was a loan most of which was paid back, TARP was used by Obama to take over GM/Chrysler and still hasn't been paid back. TARP repayments were recycled by Obama into other feel good liberal social programs and we have the worst recovery on record due to liberal economic policies as the results show. You see you measure success by results, something you and others want to ignore.

My stats do indeed tell all the facts, you want to ignore them. Suggest you learn how to research and to think. Tell me what facts today don't tell all the facts? tell me what Obama economic policy was a success? Tell me why we still have so many unemployed/under employed/discouraged workers 5 years after Obama took office? Tell me why the labor force hasn't kept up with population growth? Tell me how Obamacare benefits job creation?

You served our country, but what country did you serve, the entitlement country or the freedom of choice country?

McAuliffe didn't get 50% of the vote thus more people voted against him than voted for him. It took a third party candidate to assure his election and the fact remains the Republican was outspent 3 to 1 and still he wins by 2%. Keep re-writing history, Pb
