Election night 2013

why did christie disrespect cooch and not answer his call for help jack?
could have made the difference!
back-to-back election dumpings on his own people..
and chrissie's walking a fine line on Medicaid/ACA
Christie will do just fine, and has a very good chance to be elected POTUS in 2016.:peace

So you say you think TM is crooked, that he reeks of it, you say you don't have evidence but feel it--this is known as Obama Derangement Syndrome on steroids--and right on cue a day after an election--then you say you'll give him the benefit of the doubt--

TM crooked? Just because he profited from a death benefits fraud scheme?:lamo

Cooch is a zealot who would have made a poor governor. I voted for the Libertarian. Christie did the right thing.:peace

Are you saying there are no positive things happening with ACA..
That approval/disapproval ratings are not going up/down?
That Christie didn't poop on Romney and now Cooch?
Each new person on Medicaid/ACA is another lost vote for the GOP .
Well, I had the same feeling about Obama. Turns out that I was right about that. As I said, I'll give this dude the benefit of the doubt. But have my doubts. There's nothing partisan about it. I have the same feelings about quite a few Republicans.
Also, last time I checked, Obama Derangement Syndrome's symptoms include: voting for him even though he has no track record, continuing to support Obamacare, accepting his numerous claims of "I didn't know" with an nod of acceptance, etc. I suspect you have exhibited or continue to exhibit these symptoms.

Seems that Bolling will make a good governor in 2017 unless ridiculous state's wrongs are still in place .

TM will be sabotaged in his one term as Obama has in his 5 years..
The GOP has the template down .

More bad than good.
That approval/disapproval ratings are not going up/down?
For Obama? Down.
That Christie didn't poop on Romney and now Cooch?
I have no idea where Christie came into this.
Each new person on Medicaid/ACA is another lost vote for the GOP .
Can you show where the GOP has said they hate Medicaid? Or is actually making it a solvent program translate to hating it?

It is the role of the opposition to oppose. We call it democracy.

No. we call that pig-headedness. Democracy is party's who have their own ideas and put them forth. Not wait until someone else puts forth their ideas and only then decide that they oppose it. There should be no role of "opposition". There should only be a role of "representation."

Sorry, but the concept of a loyal opposition is central to democratic government.

There isn't much the Virginia Election is saying. McAuliffe barely won doubling the money over a Tea party Candidate. It took Biden, Clinton and Obama just to put McAuliffe over the top. As well as Michelle Obama's Radio Ads. Obama himself having to make a showing in order for Out of State Democrat who has never held an elected position in his life.....to win.

So the Democrats will spin it that this is the breakdown of the GOP and a refute of the Tea Party. While the Tea Party and the GOP will say it shows a refute of Obamacare. The problem isn't the spin or the media play. The problem for the Democrats is.....seeing this election that had poll numbers in the double digits for McAuliffe going into the last couple of days. Out spending and can only manage to eek-out a slight victory. Leaves to many other Democrats looking at Obamacare and knowing they are on the Bubble. That Independents, undecided, and the GOP came out to vote for the Republican candidate and almost made the pass. Of course Republicans now know if they would have ran a legitimate contender. They could have won it.

Now the Christie election does indeed show something.....it was a Landslide. 62% of the Vote. With Christie having 1/3rd of Democrats vote for him. Women Vote for him. Hispanics Vote for him and he even pulled more than the usual with the youth vote. This puts Christie in the front runner position for the 2016 Election for the GOP and presents a real Problem for the Democrats.....mainly due to Obamacare.

Actually, this does not give any indication of how things will be in 2014 at all. All it does is show that extremism has been defeated. Christie is a moderate Republican, and people love him so much that he totally crushed his competition. Cuccinelli is an extremist and lost to an opponent who had lots of skeletons in his closet. A moderate Republican would have beaten McCauliffe easily. People are looking for pragmatists who will work across party lines to get things done, not extremists who don't give a damn about anything except ideological purity.

Mornin Dan. :2wave: I would disagree. I don't think Obamacare can be dropped as a main reason going into 2014. So in that effect it will play its part for 2014. Already other Democratic Senators are coming out and calling on Obama to delay this Mandate. The reason. Is they know they are on the Bubble now.

Like you I agree a Moderate Republican would have beat out McAuliffe. But as you see the Left and with Chuck Todd breaking some story about how Cooch tried to get Christie to come down there is being used. Then you can see how the Democrats feel that they can harp on the Tea Party while playing on the GOP divide.

To bad the left in the Media couldn't figure that part about Christie Distancing himself with the Tea Party while playing with their spin.
