Yea, well, you can't take them on a plane anymore.

OTOH, if everyone on the plane had a box cutter, any moron who tried to highjack with one would be filleted and field dressed very quickly.

I think we also need to make sure they have no more than one refill per cutter and have to return the dull one to get a new one.

if two people had guns on planes the rest could simply stay in their seats.

Local police departments encourage you to turn in your box cutters in exchange for a Walmart gift card.

What about box cutter shows? Will people be allowed to sell them in the parking lots of such shows?

Only if they have a Federal Undercover Cutting Kingpin license!

It is possible to get one without waiting, the Federal Undercover Cutting Kingpin Emergency Distress license!

Blade sharpness and size needs to be considered as well. Some box cutters can extend the razor blade far enough to become a serious weapon. We'll call them "assault box cutters", to get the point across. And if you use sharp rather than dull blades, the weapon is more likely to penetrate the protective layer of skin and cause additional damage.

So we need to regulate the distance a blade can extend from a box cutter, ban "assault box cutters", and limit blade use to dull blades only. None of those sharp blades.
    Education.
