"Two influential human rights groups say they have freshly documented dozens of civilian deaths in U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan and Yemen, contradicting assertions by the Obama administration that such casualties are rare.

In Yemen, Human Rights Watch investigated six selected airstrikes since 2009 and concluded that at least 57 of the 82 people killed were civilians, including a pregnant woman and three children who perished in a September 2012 attack. "

Is it time to stop the drone attacks?
I heard this on the radio and they asked a guy in Pakistan. He said that the average person on the street there is not worried about the drones because they don't kill as many people as a Pakistani army offensive. The armed forces there just go dropping bombs and wiping out villages indiscriminately. While drones aren't always on target, they aren't indiscriminate.

Do you think that using the phrase "too bad" in this context is anything but condescending at best, sarcastic at worst:
"If you live in the same building as a mass murdering, child abusing (terrorist brainwashing) neighborhood oppressing terrorist, who will kill many people and enslave many others, then too bad."

It seems the problem here is your misunderstanding how people use the phrase "too bad". You don't understand it? That's too bad.

    Wow, that's ironic. lol

You don't get it? That's too bad, eco.

"You're a janitor in the World Trade Center, the de facto global headquarters for economic imperialism? That's too bad," said the Salafi extremist.

That doesn't convey an actual sense of acknowledgement of (relative) innocence, it conveys a sense that the speaker just doesn't care. The difference is significant. When you've mastered the basic vocabulary of the subject, perhaps you can move forward with this discussion.

    That's too bad.

lol exactly. Next time pick your words better, since, ya know, that's the means of conveying ideas in this medium.

Next time, don't bother people with BS attacks based on your personal interpretation of phrases. Trying to paint people as monsters based on such crap is pathetic and demonstrates ones character.

Collateral damage is an accepted reality of war and is even encoded into the Geneva conventions, because restrictions against it would only promote the use of human shields

it time to stop the drone attacks?
what is with the pre-occupation with drones, and how is their use different than sending in manned aircraft?

If collateral damage is so impossible for you to understand, perhaps we could have a Vulcan explain it to you.
After two years in Iraq and 10 years in the military, I get collateral damage. I don't believe we should fire off a missle from a unmanned drone if we are not willing to take the same amount of precision as we did when we put a team on the ground to get Osama Bin Ladin.

If one becomes collateral damage... "too bad honey, too bad".

I don't care how you might interpret anything. Spare us the demonization based on your own personal BS.

That was your solution wasn't it?
Uhh, terrorists tend to intentionally target civilians. In the OP you cite instances where civilians are collateral damage. Before entering this discussion, you should be able to clearly distinguish between these two
