of course... Big Business needs Big Government. Anyone trying to shrink the size of government is an Enemy of the State...and Big Biz will do its patriotic duty every time...

I was surprised by the number of people who bought into the whole Koch Bros. backing of the Tea Party...Koch and Co. used the frustrations of middle America to 1. Cut any demand in the troubling times that layed ahead for reciprocation of welfare to the individuals of these United States after giving away the Farm to irresponsible corporations. and 2. Use the anti-government furor to drum up support for deregulation which directly affected Koch Bros. interests...

Koch Bros. got their money from their papa who got it from Stalin. They are their fathers sons and not exactly Sons of Liberty...

Better be prepared to be "attacked" on your views, especially if they are poorly thought out. I don't know what you really expected here otherwise. This isn't a place of cosmic kumbaya or where everybody gets a trophy just for playing. Here is how it should work, someone kinda puts forth a resolution, others defending it while others attack or find some middle ground. You make an assertion and someone expects you, calls on you, to back it up.

This, you do know, is a debate site. Crying troll two times too many is getting kinda old and feeble-ish, yanno?

The Tea Party is actually on the side of the middle class but, as big government and big business joined forces, their message is being distorted by those who seek to create greater power and wealth for themselves. I would say that is a well put, succinct, distillation of what is actually occuring.

That is why the Tea Parties are being so harassed, they are actually identifying the real problems, taking on the BigGov/BigBiz/BigMedia complex that has no intention of looking out for us regular folk or maintaining the purposes for which the Constitution was originally created.

Its a tough nut for we "awakened" folk out here to crack. They, BG/BB/BM, have the power, the money and they get to frame the debate to an already much anesthetized, after years of being variously addicted and pulled inexorably in this fundamentally different direction, fattened for sale, public.
