Yeah but Sangha thinks its hyperbole...'Extreme exaggeration or overstatement; especially as a literary or rhetorical device'

    Yep, preposterous fits...
"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure" - 2006 Senator Obama...leadership failure indeed!

hyperbole: exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.

Nothing extreme or preposterous about the use of the term in the OP

since I am a constitutionalist I don't believe in taxes which are compulsory...the founders did not believe in force on the people.

I don't believe either in the way to security, is to take away liberty.

this nations for decades, has been careless, in letting anyone in, under the name of fairness, multiculturalism, now they don't know who is here, and because they don't seek to infringe on the rights of the people.

well my father was a major league officer in the party-at least for this part of the country. He liked IKE.
so did my grandfather-another big Republican. My grandfather thought FDR was bad news, and he and my father despised LBJ but were pretty supportive of JFK. I don't recall any real hatred towards Ike when there were people like FDR and LBJ who were responsible for many of our country's major problems

I'll agree that some disliked him, such as the railing he did on Military complex,
Domestic on Interstates, high tax rates, had to join a church, tough choices during WW 2..
He gave us Nixon, the anti-communist balance..
As for today, IKE matters because of the Infrastructure that needs repair .

that is simply incorrect - the Tea Party movement began under and against George Bush, particularly his overspending response to the 2008/9 crises.

Meant in a constructive way, President Reagan's name is still invoked in a positive way by many in the TEAparty..
IMO, there is an overlap with today's TEAs in many social areas, such as DOMA--abortion--Christian right, conservative Reagan..
At odds with the Libertarian attitude of Barry Goldwater, who was averse to this in govt.
