The Republican civil war is just getting started

Except I didn't? I specifically mentioned which study I was talking about, quoted from the study, and then showed you a graph relating modern day political figures. Don't blame me for your willful ignorance on a subject when I've given you all the information you need.

You said "historians argue about who was more Liberal". Let's see that concensise.

Ah, selective memory - it's too bad the interwebs is always here:

Financial crisis of 2007

Either way, what? Was spending only a problem after 2008?

It spiked 5 % points of GDP after 2008 to 25%, and is at 23.9% as of last year. I believe the Post WWII norm is 19% of GDP.

But math doesn't matter because the President is black.

Yes they do, its been between Lincoln and Washington since 1982 with occasional FDR and Adams thrown in there, not to mention Ben Franklin and etc.

I already told you which study it was and you've decided to ignore it; that is OK. :)

You don't have the info. Just admit it. A poli-science class project doesn't count.

I've already posted it, twice.

I wouldn't call sending out survey's to 1900+ historians a political science project. On top of them getting 1200 of them back. This wasn't a phone call this was a 119 page survey.

A survey isn't historical research...lol!

Reid's reelection was a particularly egregious failure of the Tea Party and GOP in general. Nobody likes Harry Reid. Of all the seats to take, that was probably one of the easiest I can remember in my adult life. And they failed. All the GOP had to do was run a bog standard Boring McBoringface Republican and it would have been a landslide. They could even have been pretty far into the conservative side of the spectrum and had that seat in hand from day one.

Harry Reid is a pro-life, pro gun democrat. Republicans only win because we are pro-life and pro gun. I'd like to see Harry Reid run for President but I don't suspect he has the confidence for it besides I think he is getting pretty old.

As usual Hautey only looks at one side of things...

What’s behind the various Occupy Wall Street (OWS) factions engaging in online squabbles and tweet battles? Believe it or not, Barack Obama. Within the movement, there are those who believe the established Left is trying to co-opt OWS to get President Barack Obama reelected. And it’s causing quite the stir.

In fact, Adbusters — a prominent force in the movement — is calling it a “Battle for the Soul of Occupy.” It is railing against groups like Moveon.org for seeking to piggyback on the enthusiasm and digital organization of the Occupiers to ensure the status quo in the federal government continues for four more years.

But the Occupiers aren’t taking this usurpation lightly. Since Adbusters wrote an article decrying the phenomenon, Occupiers have been rallying to the meme of “Jump, jump, jump over the body of the old dead left.”

Adbusters has even tried to create a sort of cautionary tale for OWS followers by advancing the idea that the Tea Party is now a co-opted movement of Beltway Republicans — a fate they claim could befall Occupy with Democrats:

A Civil War Is Breaking Out Within Occupy Wall Street Over Supporting Obama | TheBlaze.com

The left has their own problems with OWS, but as usual they either deny it, or ignore it....The problem here is not that Right is moving too far right, or that left is moving too far left, but rather that on both sides of the spectrum, the centrist is becoming extinct.

Actually, that's the only GOOD thing that's happening out of all this garbage on both sides.

The OP is totally correct. The tea partiers have an autistic quality, they will continue to push the GOP into fighting for irrational and extreme policies rejected by the American people,

Like opposing the astoundingly popular and successful Obamacare. The Tea Party is clearly out of touch with a public who loves Obamacare and wants the immediate implementation.

You leftists are so smart....

and the normals in the party will have to either break with them or go along. Either way, the GOP loses.

Once you turn the rightwing noise machine on, you can't turn it off. It just gets louder and more extreme day by day.
