Did Hillary Clinton tip her hand on 2016 presidential run?

Did Hillary Clinton tip her hand on 2016 presidential run?

Hillary Clinton may have tipped her hand on Tuesday about her plans for a 2016 presidential run.

Speaking in Atlanta at a convention that was closed to the media, Clinton spent 25 minutes talking about the 2011 raid on the Osama bin Laden compound, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The crux of that discussion: that she was for the 2011 raid in which al Qaida leader bin Laden was killed ― and Vice President Joe Biden did not support the military action.

State Representative Tom Taylor, a Republican, told the AJC that Clinton went to great lengths to paint herself and former CIA director Leon Panetta as the raid's fiercest advocates, while at the same time highlighting Biden's opposition.
"It was widely reported in the weeks and months after the raid that most, or at least many, of the president's top advisers opposed the raid," Bowden wrote in a Vanity Fair article. "That is not true. Nearly everyone present favored it. The only major dissenters were Biden and [then Defense Secretary Robert] Gates, and before the raid Gates would change his mind."

This isn't the first time Clinton has contrasted her position on the raid with Biden's. According to Politico, Clinton said the same thing during a recent speech on Long Island.
Two things just happened. Hillary just materialized the fears of GOP members and she also just took a swipe at the current administration's leadership. Not a good look for executive branch as one of their former attack dogs just went after the administration. It's also bad news for Republicans if she decides to throw her hat in the race. Who will they put against her? Some newbie like Cruz? Clinton is a political savant. She came out pretty well after her husbands... indiscretions. She's also feared by GOPers. Before she has even declared she'll run, there are monthly rumblings from Conservatives trying to attack her on the matter. Then again, this could all just be Clinton giving her opinion. However, I think it's far more likely she's just about ready to dispatch a committee.

    Running Cruz would be hilarious.

I really don't like the idea that Clinton would go after other potential candidates this early. Save it for the campaign. However, since this is all second hand reporting, the potential for spin is high.

Clinton has to make it through the crucible of the primaries. That'll hand the republicans plenty of ammo. Of course she'll run, but she's not looking at a cakewalk.

I hope Hillary either doesn't run or doesn't make it past the primaries, or both. I think too many people see some of the past problems as being related to the nearly dynastic line of presidents we've had. I know I'll never vote for her for president. I'd not vote Republican, but I would not for her either. Probably just leave it blank unless there was a valid third party candidate,... which actually could happen if Hillary wins the primaries.

I cringe thinking about Hillary Clinton in the White House. The Good Old Boy network is not ready for a woman as President of the United States.

She was incompetent as a senator and SECSTATE and would be the same as God forbid president.

You're right, she's a chicken-hawk just like the Repubs before her.

I'm liking the idea of a significant run by a third party candidate more every day.
