I'm all for blaming the source. I believe in problem solving at the root level rather than putting a bandage on the symptoms.

If you choose to be his surrogate on the issue, I don't really care. He brought up race on this thread because he saw race as the central issue. He got that from his own disfunction on the issue not from the post topic which is a reference to people in EBT. He presented no facts on who receives EBT and a picture of people involved in this confusion.

If you and he only see codes, you will likely have difficulty looking at any discussion with out attempting to decode everything to your own idiom.

    Shame on you too.

No one is pretending. You brought up race to the topic and that is shame to you.

Here is what Xerox said about it in that earlier link giving more information (they are blaming WalMart too).

"He said emergency procedures in place with Xerox allow retailers to call a phone number and receive authorization for purchases any time the EBT system is down. "Some retailers chose not to follow the process," he said. "Those businesses are only being reimbursed for the (maximum) amounts on individual cards," he said."

Wal-Mart, Xerox blame each other for food stamps spree

These two WalMart stores (since they are the only ones still being reported as having allowed this to happen) could have done what every other store that we know of in the country (including all those near me) did, either deny use of EBT cards or allow a purchase limit from EBT for only a set amount, around $50. That is plenty enough to find out how long it would take to fix the problem.
Ah yes, let's cheer the apologists for incompetence at XEROX and the criminality of the EBT card holders. Poor babies, big bad WalMart made them steal.

Did I ever say WalMart was a victim, hapless or otherwise?

No - but I did dispute your contention that WalMart was a co-conspirator in defrauding the federal government.

    There is a difference.

Yes, you have been casting them as helpless to deal with the situation and blameless, despite knowing the system was fouled, since you joined this discussion

That to, and based on the laughable metric they were too good natured to do so, despite it being as perceived benefit

Go ahead, I'll wait, ready to apologize, while you post up a comment of mine where I said Walmart was a hapless victim. Tic-Toc, Tic-Toc.

it shows up in checkout and they can even verify the balance on request for EBT card holders

Yes, I understand too. People abusing a situation that is at hand. The same pathetic mentality as a grade school bully. People who cut in line. People who are self centered, and lack respect for others.

    In other words... Losers.
