Everyone uses issues to advance their own political agenda, are you equating race with politics? Again, you were the only one who brought up race I see no justification for you doing so on this thread.
Your inability to comprehend what you read isn't haymarket's responsibility. Some people can only read the literal meaning of things, perhaps you suffer this disability. Again, not an issue haymarket can likely help you with if you haven't comprehended the riot and other racial codespeak in this thread.

Yeah, the attempts here to excuse and totally blame one side are so transparent along political lines it's hilarious. But the problem I have with your suggestion is that it simply isn't a problem for the US govt. let walmart deal with the headache in civil court. They're the one's who thought they were getting a nice payday by knowingly allowing these people to take the stuff without the funds being covered.

The govt should simply stop assistance to these people due to their transparent attempt to defraud the system, or file criminal charges for fraud

Never said you did. What I said was that we DO NOT live in a color blind society and so we should not pretend that we do.

I think the idea that photos shouldn't be used because the people committing the acts in question appear predominately black in them is the dumbest ideas I've heard in a long time. Will some people use such to perpetuate their ill informed, preconceived notions? Sure, but that would likely be the case, anyway.

I don't pretend that we do. I sure wish we did. I really hate the race baiters and others who always blame whites. If people would just stop using race as an excuse.

Please tell us the reaction of liberals if WalMart had refused to accept EBT cards from poor Americans.

As I said previously, the only people who had direct knowledge of their available balance and knew beyond any doubt that they were cheating and stealing were the people who chose to use the cards fraudulently, knowing well that they were cheating the system and stealing.

Nobody, no company, forces the immoral and dishonest to be criminal - they choose that path themselves, regardless of how many bleeding heart apologists on the left wish to excuse their immorality and dishonesty.
You are wrong. WalMart knew that the EBT cards were showing unlimited balances, something that should never show up, which is why the manager of the store called corporate. Otherwise, there would have been no need to call corporate.

Here is what Xerox said about it in that earlier link giving more information (they are blaming WalMart too).

"He said emergency procedures in place with Xerox allow retailers to call a phone number and receive authorization for purchases any time the EBT system is down. "Some retailers chose not to follow the process," he said. "Those businesses are only being reimbursed for the (maximum) amounts on individual cards," he said."

Wal-Mart, Xerox blame each other for food stamps spree

These two WalMart stores (since they are the only ones still being reported as having allowed this to happen) could have done what every other store that we know of in the country (including all those near me) did, either deny use of EBT cards or allow a purchase limit from EBT for only a set amount, around $50. That is plenty enough to find out how long it would take to fix the problem.

Walmart should have set a per transaction limit. Still, it boils down to individual responsibility. I'll bet that at least half the adults who rely on SNAP and other programs are their because they lack being a responsible citizen.

Well thank you for so clearly explaining who you are. Bless your heart.

Or as a source of blame.

I guess it boils down to what our individual opinion of responsibility is. I will admit, my standards are higher than average.

I'm not sure what you mean by "explaining who you are," but that's probably best left for a different thread topic. I know you didn't mean it in a kind way.
