So very very predictable. How long will it take for the issue of race to rear its ugly head?
    I think you just did.

Ah, a liar as well - I'm sure your comment had to do with a video you JUST posted in this thread. Bronson, I have always wondered. When you're losing a debate, do you always resort to lying?

Correct, you inquired about the EBT shoppers. Which I responded.

Quit sayin' - we've established your forte is using the words "socialist" and "fascist" ad nauseum and until we start playing a drinking game. Now, would you like some help moving goalposts? Or what?

You keep trying to argue the general to the specific and then fault others for their statistics. A national average, or even a Louisiana statewide statistic doesn't help to answer what happened in that one Walmart.

Some might even argue that the fact that 50+% of welfare recipients in Louisiana vote Republican is why the looting wasn't more wide spread.

This issue only lasted for, like...a day? I'm not sure, but I think it's physically impossible to starve to death in a day.

No it was part and parcel of why this story was posted here in the first place.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

    Food.

Yes, that's all they could steal. But there's really only one possible motivation for stealing food: not having enough, or not being sure you will in the near future.
if that was the case, people wouldn't be constantly converting their EBT card into cash by selling the food they buy with it.

I don't know if they turn people away.

First of all, show me this happens "constantly." If you can do that, answer me this: without demand, there's no supply, right? And what would the demand be for here?

That is what is nice about living in a village. You can forget your wallet and take the stuff home anyway.
