US adults are dumber than the average human

Sorry, can't open the link.

Here is the PDF that the source is based from: http://www.people-press.org/files/legacy-detailed_tables/Detailed tables for Party ID.pdf

Delving into it, it further ruins yours and Erods claims. By education level, the biggest split in party identification is among those with a post-graduate degree, with 25 % identifying as republican, 39 % democrat. In fact, some one with a postgraduate degree is more likely to vote democrat than any other education level.

Seems to me that with the problems blacks are having in general with regards to education, and the posted stats saying that liberals are the most educated; well I see something wrong with this. And I'm not saying that having more college educated people (without looking at the type of education) is necessarily better. But what you people obviously have is a party of educated elites with a bunch of disadvantaged people. How else can explain it? The OP premise that "we have more educated people and therefore are a better group".

Oh lordy, when caught out being wrong, you just twist the spin to try and make it fit your narrative.

How am I wrong? Do a search, black students are not doing well on test scores. So seems that's indicative of the population in general. Consequently, how is my premise wrong.....unless the OP is wrong?

Awesome, I have a post-graduate degree.

Which has what to do with the thread, other than you trying to race bait? You keep changing your premise, but at least your race baiting is consistent.

By the way,k does any ne else find it amusing that when he saw the article linked int the OP, Erod did not ask why, or what we can do, but used it as an excuse to attack people? That might point to part of the problem...

...calculating mileage reimbursement due to a salesman, sorting email and comparing food expiration dates on grocery store tags.

Sounds like a test for grocers and corner store supervisors.

Sorry, I should have said I was responding to rcart's post. I want to know how the premise that the educated vote for Obama is supported by the fact that so many are not doing well in education. You countered by saying it's not that, it's the number of post-graduates. So there are enough post-grads voting for Obama to tip the scale for the entire population that vote for him?

I gave you numbers. In fact, across all education groups, democrats fare better than republicans. Democrats have a 14 point edge among post graduates, 3 among college grads(4 year degree), 3 among those with some college, and 8 among those with a high school or less education. Trying to suggest that education is a major factor in voting doesn't work, since the biggest split is among those with a post graduate degree, and that favors democrats heavily. Also note that education and race are too different topics. Trying to suggest that dems are dumb because blacks vote dem is kinda stupid.

Not coincidentally, liberals now outnumber conservatives and are winning more and more elections without any intellectual merit to their platform whatsoever. Campaign strategies have to be designed at a third-grade level these days.

Dark, scary days ahead with this worthless, brainless voting bloc running things.

Here, let me correct that for you:

Strangely, liberals now outnumber conservatives and are winning more and more elections probably due to any intellectual merit to the conservative platform whatsoever. Conservative campaign strategies have to be designed at a third-grade level these days.

Dark, scary days would be ahead with the worthless, brainless conservative voting bloc running things.

There. MUCH more accurate.

Now, next time you might want to consider real reasons for things like this rather than simply throwing out idiotic hyperpartisan carp that has no basis in reality. Just some friendly advice.

Sure, "free phones and healthcare for everybody" is such thoughtful, high-level campaign strategy. Intellects are the voters flocking to that like flies on crap. Whatever rolls your doobie for you.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, it looks like the IRS worked closely with your beloved White House during the audit targetting scandal.

Dirtiest, most scandalous administration of all time, and blind liberals are lapping it up like sheep.

Since no one is giving free phones and healthcare to every one, this is a classic straw man.

I never said dems are dumb (even though they vote dumb ), I'm just wondering how they can come out ahead with some many that apparently are not doing well on the educational level.

Damn, and I was getting ready to do a phone upgrade.

And that is where you started off wrong, and what I disproved in my first post. Most democrats are white. Blacks make up about 1/4 of those who identify as democrat. So trying to suggest blacks are bringing the education level down fails. To further illustrate the point: Asian Americans tend to be better educated than average, and they also tend to vote democratic. See the problem with your premise?

Liberals tend to be generally useless, whether they hung around in college until they got a piece of paper or not.

More patent falsehoods from a shameless partisan hack.

!!! JESUS !!!

I was responding to the OP statement that liberals are dumbing down the country. Out of no where you make a statement as if blacks are the reason why we are behind. I follow that statement with facts and stats showing that statistically we are not the overall reason. There is a lot more to it. (Please refer back to my last post). If we are the reason, then why is West Virginia the least educated state with only 3% of their population being black?

Again this is not a race topic. I don't understand why you continue to make it so.

Hey remember, republican math skills are 2nd to none. Just reference their polls from the 2012 election

.....Oh wait :Oopsie

I was banned from RedState for posting

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this article (about why the GOP will win in a landslide) isn't actually based on any concrete mathematical analysis. It's just a bunch of wishful thinking. Romney may win by a squeaker, but there's nothing to suggest a landslide".

The reply back was something like.. You're part of the conspiracy to make Republicans lose by making the polls look bad. You're banned! After the election, I emailed the editor to get reinstated.. I was ignored.

Wow just because you had a intelligent opinion. :damn

Because black almost exclusively vote Democrat, and are part of an educationally disadvantaged group by some accounts. So why shouldn't this play into the question of how the educated vote for Obama. Of course you could have read the thread instead of making me re-explain it to you.

Wait a minute..

Conservatives have always said that the US is a conservative nation, hence the part of the population that is brain dead must be the conservative portion since they are supposedly in the majority...

And considering the Palins and Bachmanns and Newts of the conservative backbone, then we actually have empirical evidence that the "brain dead" part of the US has to be the conservative "majority!"

Not gonna speak on Palin and Bachmann but Newt Gringrich is quite a smart individual. Don't let the partisanship blind you.

Actually, the problem of education is a bipartisan one. Both parties continue to ignore actual research on effective education policies and continue to push ineffective education policies that are supported by many of their donors. Those donors tend to be business people and corporations who have MUCH more money than academics, teachers and others who know what to actually do to improve our system.

From the article:
This test could suggest students leaving high school without certain basic skills aren’t obtaining them later on the job or in an education program.

What, they think that if you don't obtain it in your first 18 years of life you'll just wander across it some other way? I thought this was common sense.

No, if you struggle in school, that won't improve unless you really push yourself.

On a much broader note - I don't imagine that Finland and Canada, etc are representative of 'the average human' - There are over 140 countries in the world. That only constitutes a sliver of the world population. That is 'the educated, 1st world portion of the world' - and at that, yet again, only a part.
