I don't see the right to breathe air in the Constitution either. But just try to take that one away....

That's because the Constitution doesn't create Rights, it only protects your God-given rights, or natural rights if that's your thing, by limiting the Government's power.

You think so? I don't see how anyone can interpret this in terms of winning and losing. It is too obvious that we cannot go on spending like this and that Obamacare is going to slow the economy initially.

They were designed by someone even better. Private companies contracted by the government. The contractors always have one hand in our pocket,

I'm afraid its your side has characterized this fight that way. I was just using terms you can understand. The truth is we ALL win when our form of govt. withstands assaults from within.
As far as the AHC act, If you know the future then what are you doing posting here? Go buy some lottery tickets.

Another moving goalpost. Costs of the ACA had nothing to do with the shutdown and any talk about it is a blatant falsehood. Unsurprising that the some folks are parroting the same comments that are coming from right-wing media at the same time.

Initially it was "the american people don't want it". And that proved false.
Then it became "we've got to get something out of this, anything".
Realizing that those comments were bat**** insane, it's now become about the budget.

Obama care is going to need enrollment in the tens of millions by Dec 15 or it will be a bust. more then half of those tens of millions will need to be young and healthy to keep the premiums where they are at, or the price will have to be raised even higher then they already are
You are right. Pity the foo, aka the conservative, that wasted the opportunity to spend time, money and media attention on a daily monitoring of Obama care in favor of this farce called a shutdown. The Cons, as they do so well, shot themselves in the foot once again with a bazooka. (see also Cons strategy to take US Senate running the likes of Angle, O'Donnell, Buck. Mourdack, and Akin)
