So what you have left is a group of Republicans willing to defy the TP. Ummm, should they not have a voice?

The Tea Party is quickly becoming the reason that Republicans will lose not only more seats but the ability to be elected POTUS.
No non-Conservative Republican should even be allowed in the party, never mind given a voice or a vote. Winning elections is a secondary need compared to maintaining a morally pure and principled organization. Besides, lose enough seats and maybe true Americans will be move to the action we truly need.... Blood in the streets.

To see if people are truly worthy of what thus country offers them or if it's time, once again, to tear this country down and start again from scratch.

So let the Tea Party form their own party. I am on board with that decision. Thumbs up.

This thread, like so many on this forum, is just one facepalm after another. What is wrong with the conservatives on this forum? It seems 90% of you should be in a mental hospital or at a bare minimum receive outpatient counseling.

I think this forum might be pretty decent if the bottom 40% of conservatives went on vacation and the other 60% came out of the woodwork, free to express normal, rational opinions. Unfortunately instead we get post after post that resembles the unabomber manifesto, the "real" americans.

Precisely why I left the Republican party. You think that making the tent smaller and smaller when demographics are against you makes sense? Too many phonies bellowing about their "morality." As for "Blood in the streets" if you want that...go live in Sudan, we don't need hyperbolic statements like that in the first world.

Re: Dems move to force Republicans to reopen the government

    Good Afternoon,

While the prospects of revolution are being contemplated over lunch, I offer up my one of my infrequent opinions.

Would it not be much more desired if the government were open irregardless of who 'won' most? I understand well the value of principle, but the threat to the well-being of others ought to shift the focus from partisanship to figuring out how to fix our broken government. Both sides have equal interest in keeping the government funded. It is because of this that I am having trouble understanding why members of Congress feel they have to get something for doing their most basic job of doing a budget. No one is entitled to win anything out of this whole mess. It is reckless to suggest so. What we have is a minority within a party holding up the legislative process, simply because they cant get their way. They claim to represent the majority of Americans who are encouraging them to play with fire near the curtains. They don't represent me, or for that matter most others, and they are willing to set fire to the house, to slate the tinfoil wearing hoopies that elect them.

Games are best left to those who will play fair. Nothing about the past week has been fair. Fire your representatives.
