We understand that you're moved by comic strips and that they form the basis of your philosophical outlook...

You embraced the word, without reservation. Again, I reiterate with different words: forcing an up or down vote on a bill that is likely to pass is just good governance, not considered a trick. Keeping such a bill from coming to a vote through process maneuvering should be considered a 'trick'. Shutting down the government as leverage should be considered a 'trick' that results in immediate new elections to replace those legislators that cause it to happen, because they clearly have zero leadership skills. In other words, it shouldn't be permitted to happen.
You can never be safe from a government that can keep you completely safe from each other and the world. You must choose.

Translation: "I consider all political maneauvering to be a trick unless it's being done by a Republican"

Trick? Why doesn't Boner just put the spending bill to an up/down vote? Seems like the "tricks" are being attempted by the GOP.

Accomplishments? Not a word normally used to describe the results of a liberal political agenda. Far to wide a berth I fear.

I agree with your translation for him. I also think an edited version would suit well here...

You think me to be that much of a Democratic Party Partisan huh?

Or are you putting me in as saying that to Deezad?

A discharge petition is hardly a trick, it requires the signatures of a absolute majority in the house In order to pass, the number required to pass a disscharge petition is 218,
