Woman in DC chase may have thought Obama was stalking her, sources say

I know liberalism is a mental disorder but is it contagious? if so can you catch it being on the same forum as them?

Just pay close attention to the symptoms: a sudden decrease in work ethic, unexplained philandering, uncontrollable thoughts of getting even, and a recurring misuse of available funds.

Well, what a hackfest this turned out to be. If this woman really believed that President Obama was following her, you guys are trying to score silly political cheap shots while missing the bigger issue which is how society needs to address very real concerns in our mental health system.

WHAT????? LOL

That's what WE have been saying when you people want to turn everything into a gun debate.

Yes, but what if he WAS stalking her and she wasn't crazy at all?

There is no question Obama was stalking her. He stalks everyone in America nowadays. NSA, Medical records, IRS, and who knows what else.

First off, I don't know who you people are. I rarely am in any gun debate because the issue just isn't overly important to me. Second, I read all the time how conservative say liberals shouldn't use the excuse well because Bush did it, why does that gave Obama the right to do it, and then you pull that card here? And finally, yes, this thread thus far has been hackness at its finest with a toss of race baiting too. So yes, have fun with your silly little political games while ignoring the bigger picture.

I don't know anything about this woman, but I'm sure she'll have her private life wrung out on national television for all to see. If it happens that she was under psychiatric care of some sort, if it was known that she was hearing/seeing/feeling things abnormally but wasn't getting the proper treatment, then this may actually be a matter of concern with the mental health system. But just like not every heart attack or stroke is preventable or predictable, not every mental breakdown is preventable or predictable.

Ignoring the bigger picture? On DP? You're joking...

but don't you take precautions to keep from having heart attacks and strokes. this is the 2nd tragedy with a paranoid condition involved

That is true, this could have been her first real breakdown/episode in which case it seems to have been a pretty bad one. At the same time though her saying she thought the President was following her is kind of crazy honestly and if this was her first episode then maybe her friends/family didn't know the signs. I have also been around mental issues a few times (my dad's side has some mental issues and I lost my best friend to some as well) so maybe I just notice things more than people who haven't been around it. My post was mostly just at the frustration that there is a legitimate issue here, but the first two pages are all political cheap shots.

I never joke. Joy has been killed the past year. Law school and Bruins losing in the Stanley Cup to god damn Chicago. If the Sox get swept by Tampa I will be completely dead inside.

Altr this further cements that there was something seriously wrong mentally with this woman

She looks like somebody who was in the Psych ward at the same time I was. Probably not, because she's not from Minnesota.

I appreciate those thoughts and would simply say that often, in events that aren't easily explained, we resort to humor and the familiar to avoid uncomfortable questions.

I know of lots of healthy, young people who've died from heart attacks and strokes while out jogging - seems someone dies in the Boston and New York marathons every year from heart attack or stroke. So no, not all tragic events are predictable or preventable.

You'll be thrilled when the Patsies lose in the rirst round this year then.

What are the odds that the baby has a loving father who will now take care of and raise her/him from here on?

Trying to re-inject the race baiting?

What if Tim Thomas wins the Vezina in Florida? He's 1-0 so far with a .926 save percentage. And just imagine if his goaltending leads Florida to the playoffs ahead of the Bruins. Should we keep an eye on you, just in case?

awwww your just pissed because you cant blame it on whitey this time. want me to call you a waaaambulance

Pissed? Sure thing, chief. I'm just real pissed that you're making a fool out of yourself by tossing out the race card like this. Soooo upset. :lamo

Have you seen the AFC this year? As long as we don't get anymore injured there is a chance we can end up as the #2 seed at 12-4. By the way tough break on EJ last night.

Tim Thomas is probably playing so well because he is so happy that the government shut down.

Shows how important it is to have a reliable backup, not an undrafted rookie who can't handle it.
