From what I understand, none of those clinics would have to close, just come up to standards of prudent care. So does "access" trump health?

No, the antiabortinists brought the bible into this issue, since it is the churches that are mainly driving it, and the vast majority of quotes are biblically related.

Well, most congress people that get up and speak turn out to be morons, especially Reid and Pelosi. At least Crus is trying to protect the Constitution and, thus, us. Davis was speaking against abortion restrictions, willing to fillibuster to allow unborn babies to be killed with less effort. What a gal!

How old are you 17? hahaha

Do you even know the point of a filibuster or grandstanding?

I'd wager a "pot to piss in" that you don't.
Are you disputing what I wrote? Are you saying what Wendy Davis did (which indeed had an impact) was the same as what Ted Cruz did (which didn't have an impact)?

To the extent that Cruz’s phony filibuster had a point (it didn’t delay any vote) it was to shame his fellow Republicans into joining his crusade to shut down the government if Obamacare isn’t defunded; those who disagreed, he said, were like “Neville Chamberlain, who told the British people, ‘Accept the Nazis.’ ”

All I'm reading from your post is deflection and a silly attempt to divert from my response to your post by addressing me personally.

Grow a pair and address the post instead of hiding behind rhetoric.

They have their beliefs, you have yours.... I don't see where I asked anything tied to the bible though...

If they don't change their thinking? From what to what? Oh, sure Dem Presidents forever! Yeah, they couldn't screw that up. I'd bet my bottom dollar that if they ever did get Texas, they would have an offsetting loss somewhere else. Who was the last conservative to run? Reagan. How did he do in those locked up democrat states?

I wouldn't say "no chance in hell". I would say little chance. But since our economy has been doing so well for so long and so many non-Texans have been migrating here from Liberal states looking for work, there is a possibility that enough dumb asses have come here and don't realize that their liberalism is the reason they had to come to Texas for a job.

Then you are as blind as a bat. It is religion that has been pushing the abortion issue, as well as the evolution debate. They claim to keep religion out of it, but you can bet your ass that the Bible is behind almost all of it. Just like when the courts knocked down the forced teaching of creationism in the schools, so they changed "creationism" to "intelligent design", and then claimed that it was no longer about God doing the creating. Just some other higher power that maybe lives over in the next county who calls himself something other than God. LOL.
