Obviously it makes no sense....but the teabaggers aren't trying to make sense. They are engaged in circus antics, green eggs and ham...political grandstanding to please their base. Funny thing, they are willing to destroy the once time legitimate Republican party in the process. So its not all bad.

It passed the House/Senate/President and has even been looked at by the Supreme Court. It was debated and pieced together for around a year. What is your definition of "pushed through"?

In my opinion, only an idiot cannot see through this Republican shenanigan. They cannot get a package through that defunds "Obamacare," so they shut the government down, then try to approve funding, bit by bit, to just about anything EXCEPT that which funds Obamacare. A backdoor kind of scam. Then try to shift the blame on the democrats.

    Nice try. Didn't work though.

The good news is, anyone falling for their crap already votes republican anyways. They will continue to vote republican regardless.

The bad news is, the centrists, moderates and independents, the people who determine the elections, sees right through their corrupt, gerrymandering, filibustering, do-nothing, worthless asses.

They just handed 2014 to the democrats. I predict a democrat congress, senate and White House come 2015. Maybe then they will get something done in Washington. Heaven knows what, though. I shudder to think what a nation run by democrats will do. Lesser of two evils I suppose.

    you understand the result, right?
    supreme court affirmed legitimate legislation
so, why should it be rolled back?
want that to happen, do it legislatively

Now they are on record as being against the ACA and it will eventually be as difficult to repeal as SS and Medicare. The Republicans should have said, "Americans are one medical crisis away from disaster. And rather than follow the Democrats tax tax tax plan we Republicans have a better way to protect the American people, and keep our country strong" But they missed an opportunity to lead and are perceived as the Grand Obstructionist Party. And they know it. That's why they're fighting to block the ACA because they know it will be popular. Time will tell.
No, Obamacare is not popular, nor will it be outside of those who receive it as a handout, and even they will bitch about wait times and exclusions. The public option was off the table long before the debate began, Obama having already negotiated it away with the insurance companies.

Oh, are you taking about the 40+ bills through the House with absolutely no chance of getting past the Senate? Or are you talking bout the 15+ times the Dems have asked to conference with the House regarding appropriation bills in the last 6 months.... not to mention the 5 or 6 requests from McCain. Hell, Fox was making fun of the President a couple months ago because he took the Republican leadership out to dinner in an effort to reach out to them. I don't think I'm the one that was asleep during all this.

I think the Dems could afford to give a little too. Take out the Obamacare thing and put in something they like, maybe a tax cut or something. Let them vote against cutting taxes. Call 'em on it. Just saying "No" isn't getting us anywhere either.

Proof that it is the Democrats who are holding the government hostage, not the Republicans.
Amazing, isn't it? Yet to hear them spin it, you'd think just the opposite were the case. I'm just surprised they haven't found a way to blame Bush yet.

many democrats consider keeping the sequester cut's in place a compromise, they would have preferred to remove the sequesters spending cuts.
