That's assuming that most people get their news from watching news channels.

I suspect that about 70 percent of Americans don't give a crap about any of this.

    1. Republicans will lose their choke hold on the house - I'd say anywhere from 20-30 seats.
    2. Democrats will remain in control of Senate.
    3. A Democrat will be elected President in 2016 after it's pointed out that the current GOP congressmen tried to shut down government because they didn't like a bill that was CONSTITUTIONALLY passed by Congress and signed by a legally elected president.

Who do you think is going to want to be at the forefront of the cluster bomb that is the 2016 GOP Presidential election? You think any GOP congressman is going to want to take responsibility for holding the paychecks of millions of US employees hostage? You think any GOP member is going to walk up and say "Hey, I helped shut down Yosemite because I didn't like some healthcare legislation?" - Lol. Get outtahurr.

    That's probably a good guess.

Yet, that is what the GOP is saying to support THEIR claim that people don't want the ACA. Their saying since they have control of the house the people want ACA gone because they were elected. So you can't have it both ways there. Either an election says what people want or it doesn't. Take you pick.

Again, I listed MULTIPLE sources for alternative views. They are out there, so if people STILL choose to act one way, it isn't because of "liberal" media, it's because of the people. Blaming the media is a lame excuse.

No, they are saying that because that is what ALL of the polls are saying that an overwhelming majority of Americans do not want the ACA.

The only polls that matter are the ones on election day. Following any other poll as Gospel is not very wise IMO.

I wasn't aware that the shut down was GOP strategy. Looks more like DNC strategy to me. The ACA sucks. If that is the best they can come up with regarding health care in this country, we're better off without it and them. The roll out of Obamacare reminds me of the roll out of the Edsel.

When all other polls, even the ones from organizations who want ACA show that the country doesn't want it, that should tell you something. And if you didn't know, the country didn't vote on the ACA so how would election day matter for that?
