It'll help you with your problem. As per the second part of your post: I already stated it: Republicans won mostly in weak Democrats districts that had been Republicans before. They also had a few victories in 4-5 historically Democrat places. In essence, the 2010 election was a return to the normality established in the 90s and only disrupted by the 2006-2008 elections.
The normality is a Dem dominated congress, historically speaking, and after obamacare, the Dems lost 60 seats...why? Further, it wasn't just Republicans that were elected, but Tea Party Republicans, expressly to hamper Obama.

Even further, they weren't primarily Republican districts, they were primarily swing districts with a history of wavering back and forth between parties.

Dear beloved, we gather here today to mourn (or celebrate) the death of the Tea Party Movement. Begun as a direct response to Obama's election, these savages have ensured that they don't get their way and nobody else does either. Also, let us take a moment to remember that they have, in their selfish way, irreparably harmed the Republican party. It will take Republicans years to recover from this. However, I am sure that after they lose the house in 2016, they'll return to their senses. Let us pray that St. Palin and St. Bachman will chime in this discussion and make it all worse for an already moribund Republican party.
Don't knock the Tea Party movement, at least don't knock what it ORIGINALLY was. In the beginning, the Tea Party was a grass roots uprising against government overreach. Unfortunately, what began as an honest criticism of government gone amok was hijacked by corporate special interests, and the Tea Party you see today bears little resemblance to the original. However, once upon a time, the Tea Party was an honest vehicle of the rage Americans felt against the political machine and usurpations of our freedoms.

Except that their main focus, Obamacare, is a prime example of government overreach.

    We shall see.

Except that it's the law, passed by the people's representatives and except that the House Republican have tried unsuccessfully over 100 time to repeal it, but they don't have the votes.

    Except for that, you're right.

Nonsense. It was and continues to be a group of intolerant knownothings who attract freaks like Palin as leaders. At heart it really is racially motivated -- when they talk about "taking back" the country, they mean from nonwhite people. But leaving their crypto racism aside, their subliteracy, ignorance, xenophobia, scapegoating and inability to think beyond the talking points the Koch Brothers feed them is part and parcel of knownothing movements that have afflicted the US since the 1840s. Thankfully, they are always defeated by the better nature of Americans. And they will be defeated in their most recent attack on the US government.

    Very true.

No... I read about it starting under libertarian principles that were rather sensible. Then an original founder soon told the Tea Party to go to hell because it basically became a nonstop Koch Brother funded fiasco of bull****.

LOL....man you have it all wrong. I'm actually elated that the GOP was stupid enough to pull such a stunt. It just further cements in the minds of the voting public how extreme and what a joke the GOP has become. Overwhelming majority of the public are against the GOP on this issue. The Teabaggers are helping usher in the destruction of the Republican party and I am loving every minute of it.
