Obama Address the Nation on the government shutdown.

Yes, obviously. And right now it couldn't come close to being passed into law and millions want to get rid of it. That is also reality.

No it isn't reality, if EVERYONE wanted to get rid of the ACA, they wouldn't have voted the Dems to remain in control of the Sentate and every Dem would have lost their seat in the house.

The fact is there ARE people that want this. I wish we could have a DIRECT vote on this to settle it once and for all.

The Democrats have already voted for it without knowing what was in it and another vote would be the same.

People would be voting for a theory, a hope or a dream, but not facts with any reality attached. It is a program for wishful thinkers thought up by inexperienced people who through a fluke of the electoral system gained enough power to put their own unrealistic theories into practice.

Well informed people would reject it out of hand but they are not in the majority, otherwise Barrack Obama would not be President.

You think every democrat would have lost their seat??? And what else is not reality? You think that this law could be passed today? The House dems didn't even want it, but were stuck with it after Massachusetts elected a republican to try and stop the bill. Massachusetts, for God’s Sake! They couldn't even get it through the Senate by the time the House passed it. So, what is not reality again?

Excellent point, liberals vote with their hearts believing in theory and not reality along with facts. I call that thinking with the heart and not the brain for anyone who thinks with their brain knows that adding millions more to the roles of the insured puts unsustainable pressure on the current system and will overburden the ER system just like it is doing in MA. Further most ACA supporters buy the liberal message and ignore the reality that healthcare costs are bourn by the states for the uninsured and not the Federal taxpayers thus making this a state issue not a federal issue.

Like most liberal programs they always sound good until you get to implementation where all cost more than intended, do less than intended, never solve a problem, and only create permanent govt. bureaucrats to administer the programs.

Nothing you have said refutes anything I posted above. The fact is there ARE people that want it and if EVERYONE didn't want it, the House and Senate would have all Republicans and no Dems from this last election and THAT is the point I was making that you didn't refute.

I'm saying if people REALLY didn't want the ACA, they would have voted out every Dem, yes. So there ARE people out there that want it and the proof is in the numbers of seats held by Dems in the Senate and House from the last election.

I don't agree with the ACA and don't want it, but the fact is that there are people that do.

Down the road it will be an even larger political issue because it will become unaffordable, but its being unaffordable will not prevent it from continuing because people have come to expect it, and it is then 'a right'. The Democrats will do what they hve done in the past in defending unaffordable government programs, painting their opposition as greedy and evil, while things like infrastructure, the military, etc. will suffer.

They genuinely seem to be believe that all this spending, and a huge program like the Affordable Health Care Act can be implemented and yet everything will remain the same, or even better. It's all Obamaphone.

Just because people want something doesn't mean they should get it, unless they are much like spoiled children. And of course Obama declaring a person is a child until the age of 26 strongly suggests this.

Aw, yes, been smoking some of that legal "weed" in California? You make wild ass claims seeking attention and then run when proven wrong. Sad state of affairs when someone from Disneyland never grows up and always lives in make believe land. I know that I would love to see the statement where I believe 9/11 occurred in Clinton's watch and that Bush got Bin Laden. You just throw out statements for effect and other Obamabots pile on.

It is great however seeing you on TV

WATCH: Unabashed Surfer Receiving Food Stamps to Buy Sushi and Avoid Work - Fox Nation

Conservative.....you have made those claims numerous times....911 was Clinton's fault and GWB captured Bin Laden. You are the biggest Republican apologist on this site, so don't try to pretend that you are not. Rush Limbaugh and Fox Nation are your reality.....that is why your views are so far from reality that it is impossible to have an honest discussion with you.

You know it's funny, but it is the democrats that are teabagging the country, ironic, isn't it? It is really telling that the left in this country now defines following the Constitution as being "extreme right-wing". Quite sad, actually. Just follow the Constitution, can you do that, democrats? Or is it too hard for you? Today's democrats concentrate on finding ways around the Constitution, and they are killing this country.

Do you even know what the Constitution says? LOL.....you obviously are no Constitutional Scholar if you believe that today's GOP is even anywhere near following Constitutional Mandates and Guarantees. The right-wing has for decades been trying to subjugate the US Constitution and they have been successful in finally finding the teabaggers who can bring the once proud and mighty Republican party to its knees....and I'm loving every minute of it. I suspect that the moderate Republicans are going to revolt and take back their party....but I hope and pray that they continue to be spineless and cowtow to the whims of the teabaggers who have them by the balls.

I oppose it as well so I guess I'm included in that 72%. That's why it's important for the Senate and Obama to join with the House and fund the rest of the government. As the House has already provided them the means to do it.

Why would the whitehouse ever give into the terrorist-type ploys of the teabaggers? The United States rarely, if ever, negotiates with extortionists....why would we start now? Every day the Government is shut down, the Republican party becomes more and more insignificant and is viewed as ridiculously extreme by most of the country. The longer the Government is shut down, the closer and closer the GOP comes to becoming extinct....or a regional party at best. I hope they continue with their teagagging ways.

The Democrats have never met a public spending program they didn't like and anyone who opposes their programs will be vilified by them and the MSM as greedy and uncaring.

Look back to the money spent on 'stimulus', the green programs, and all of that. Trillions have been wasted. But if you recall at the time it was the Republicans who were being criticized for opposing all this waste, and refusing to accept 'innovation', 'new technology', 'shovel ready jobs', and all of that. Now its just more of the same.

Historians will look back with wonder at how this was allowed to happen to a once great nation, but it seems too many people have forgotten just what made it great.

Being Clinton's fault and happening when Clinton was President are two different things. I posted the Clinton PDB showing he was warned about terrorists using aircraft to attack this country but of course you ignored that. 9/11 happened in 2001, and Bin Laden was captured during Obama's term so now exactly what is your point? What does any of that have to do with the very poor Obama economic performance and lack of leadership? What does any of this have to do with you being in La La land having no concept of what is going on throughout the country?

You do nothing but divert from the data, fail to offer your own economic data, and always blame someone else for "your" President's failures. That is liberalism and why we have problems in this country today. An honest discussion with you and any other liberal is buying your bull**** and not posting verifiable facts that refute it.

Do me a favor, take a look at what I posted, then take a look at your reply. They don't match up at all, so why are you quoting me. I don't agree with ACA, so not sure why you're even quoting me since you aren't even replying to what I said.

I was expanding on what you said.

Well lets see now. The House has done what the Constitution requires and provided to the Senate and the President the means to fund the government. The Senate and the President say they are not interested and refuse to do what is required to for the entire government to get back to business as usual. It's on them, not the House, not the GOP.

The longer this goes on, with the House offer still on the table more and more people will see the Dems and the President as the problem. Which they are. Simple fix for everything but one item and that one item being one the American people have never and still, don't want. Things worked out fine for the GOP last time a Dem put the country through this. It will this time as well.

Wrong. The House has decided that it is going to engage in a series of extortionist gameplaying political grandstanding ploys because they don't like a law that was passed by both houses of Congress and upheld by the United States Supreme Court after a Constitutional challenge was raised. They are engaging in the same type of tactics that terrorists/kidnappers use to try to force negotiation of things that are not subject to negotiation.
I hope that you are correct and that the teabaggers continue in the same gameplaying that they are. The overwhelming majority of the country sees right through the games that they are playing...what makes you think that there is going to be a sudden swaying of public opinion? Good luck with that.....I for one am loving watching the teabaggers bring about the destruction of the Republican brand...its something that the Democrats haven't been able to accomplish and bodes well for the Democrats and for the entire country.

It simply puts your posts and mentality into perspective and explains why no one should put a great deal of weight into your ramblings and criticisms. When Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are your sources of reality.....it explains clearly why you come up with the stuff that you do. Carry on.

It seems too many people don't believe a $17,000,000,000,000 debt is a problem, nor the estimated $70 trillion in committed debts either, but that free health care can also be added to these debts with only positive consequences for the economy. This is fiscal insanity, and appears to be deliberate.

Nope. I suggest you review what has happened over the last few days. The House has clearly met it's responsibilities. The Dems in the Senate and the President have not. The partial shut down of the federal government is all on the Dems. Spinning or lying about things will not change facts.
