Are you seriously going to try comparing Ted Cruz to Reagan???
Not really a comparison.
Are you seriously going to try comparing Ted Cruz to Reagan???
You're right, nothing like making an example of how politics should really be run like reading green eggs and ham on the Senate floor. WE APPLAUD YOU TED CRUZ.
After hours on the floor, Ted Cruz read Green Eggs and Ham as a bedtime story to his girls who had been watching their daddy, yesterday on C-SPAN from Texas.
Thanks for the stellar example of how men can be just as catty as women.
I'm sorry, I don't pay my taxes so he can come and read on the Senate floor to his kids. If he cares so much about his kids he would be at home with them and reading to them. Not wasting time and money to do it in a professional setting.
What? Free associating again? Maybe under Obamacare you can't get counseling for that.

He just tried it.
A few far right losers on this forum might buy into his comparison, but not enough of the 300 million potential American voters ever will. The only way that Cruz will ever see the inside of the White House is as a visitor.
"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.
He just tried it.

What you fail to recognize is that Obama's incompetence my make the GOP the permanent party. Better days are indeed ahead once Obama leaves office or this country is really screwed. How Obama supporters can continue to support this empty suit is beyond comprehension.
I can't put my finger on it, but Cruz seems somehow fundamentally different. I wonder whether he envisions a path to the White House that's not bounded by the legal process.eace
Better wake up because Cruz is calling your attention to what is going on in D.C. and the big power grab that is happening. If this is all you got out of what he did then you are part of the problem not part of the solution.
Some people claim Paul Harvey was crazy too and now the same comments about Ted Cruz. Pay attention to Harvey and see if he sounds so crazy now.
If I Were the Devil by PAUL HARVEY
The Senate had finished its morning business before Cruz was recognized the floor.
Senate Floor Schedule for Tuesday, September 24, 2013 | Senate Democrats
Your pettiness is astounding. Going to quibble over 3 or 4 minutes compared to the wasted years of some Republicans in the Senate not taking every opportunity to fight Obamacare from being implemented and have instead become appeasers.
Reading Childrens Books...he is standing up for what is right!
Let's see if I have this right, you say you respect the Tea Party members of Congress yet call them Tea Party nuts. :doh
The purpose for bringing up Gingrich and Santorum in the primaries was to point out the dirty dealings of the Republican elites against Conservatives/Libertarians in general within the party. The same type of elites among Republican senators that have been demonizing Cruz and others. You've shown us which side of the bread you have buttered and are in full alignment with the elites. After all, you think Jeb Bush (because he has gravitas) will be the next president and the Republican elites would salivate over such a prospect.
The two seats lost in the Senate, during the 2012 election may mean multiple but that isn't what you were originally getting at when you stated multiple for you included examples of certain races that Republicans lost that you felt they should have won making it greater than just two, an exaggeration on your part. And you also failed to credit the gains in the Senate in 2010 by the Tea Party and their efforts that regained the House. It's amazing what they have been able to accomplish not just fighting their opposition but also those within their own party.
He just tried it.

Oh really? Even the moderate Republican, Matt Drudge who supported Romney last election, stated today that Cruz and Rand Paul are the new heart of the Republican party and also stated Chris Christie has an uphill battle to overcome this momentum.
The chairman of the Republican National Committee released a statement that he supports Cruz's efforts to stop Obamacare and urged the fellow Republicans in the Senate to support his efforts. Reid says he had the votes prior to Cruz's efforts, we shall see if he still has them soon enough. It is going to take at least 5 Republicans to vote with the Democrats to meet Cloture to raise the debt ceiling and still fund Obamacare. Those 5 Republicans that vote for it, will be voting to end their careers as senators. That's a give me.
That's what you think, but that doesn't mean that it's going to happen. Wait and see, the extreme right is not going to take over the USA. Obamacare is settled law, it's not going away. The GOP will just have to deal with it as reality whether they like it or not.
Be as radical as you want to me, this is a free country and it won't cost me a nickel.Amazing because one believes in the first principles of freedom and liberty that makes you "extreme right" these days. Ha! says a lot about how far we have strayed. To fight against very bad law that is so unfair and costly to many while others get exempted from it makes one a radical these days.
Except that Cruz' filibuster, which technically was not a filibuster (confused yet? - LOL), lasted a little over an hour. What the hell was that? Was THAT the amount of time he was able to stand on his feet? Jesus!! I know people who stood in line for hours just to get an iPhone. Cruz - You are a *****. LOL.
Article is here.
They should be forced to pee their pants or give up the podium. That's the American way!!
Eh, he's a self-absorbed, ambitious jerk with delusions of future grandeur... which is what his grandstanding now is all about in the first place.

Hey kids, a nonsequitur and a personal attack.
But I'm glad you think emergency room treatment is an alternative to universal coverage. Great plan!

And Politifact was wrong. They are not a sacred unbiased source.
Thanks for clarifying :2wave:
